Spring ball starts the first week in March usually.

Yesterday was the post-season awards banquet. Tim Bush was named MVP.

Not to be a damper, but dont expect a new stadium next year. Talking to some people, even if we get the announcement soon about moving ahead...there is a 4-6 month design phase...plus NYS red tape. Best case scenario is the announcement...with shovels in the ground the following spring-- IMHO.

 

The only positive is if Gov. Patterson's proposal passes; it would eliminate red tape (and likely costs) once we actually break ground.

 

Didn't McElroy say at the banquet there would be an announcement soon regarding something? How long ago was that? Now would be a good time for an announcement, right before BPG.

 

By the way, the UA athletic website should include the lacrosse scrimmage on the list of events for bpg.

 

It's my assumption that we have at least some money to get this project going / started. Wouldn't we have completed a design phase already? So, the money we've paid over the past two years to Heery, was to determine location only and cost .... and not a cent towards design?

The dinner was Jan. 21, 13 days ago.

 

It's possible for something on University Advocacy Day next Monday, if there's no mention with the Football Signing Day annoucement (today I hope)

I am hoping for an announcement as soon as the DGEIS becomes final. The Facilities website indicates that this is supposed to be final by early-mid February.
