I thought the legislature already amended his proposal,

and left out Albany and Bing.

 

What's the exact status now?

 

 

These are budget related bills that are proposed to get passed with the Budget this year. The budget has not yet been passed.

 

The Governor's budget included the full PHEEIA (all SUNY schools).

The Senate's version of the budget that passed included only SBU and UB.

The Assembly's version of the budget that passed did not include any PHEEIA.

 

The Senate and the Assembly need to pass the same bill before it can go to the Governor for his signature into law.

As a former staffer....they dont do much. Meet here, go to committee meetings there, caucus meetings, review a bill written by staffers and the bill drafters at the Captiol, and oh yeah...go to as many functions as they can (there are so many that basically the staffers all eat well for three days because we would go represent the legislator).
