Yes, I'm happy that UA got the win, but I'm still pessimistic about the season. In Division I times UA has beat Columbia 8 out of 8 times. They're supposed to be an easy win. The fact that the margin of victory was only 3 points is telling. Yes, I know it was a road game. I hope I'm wrong about the season.

In the last five games against Columbia, thru the last eight years, our margin of victory was 3, 1, 1, 4 and 3 points. The last double-digit win over them was in 2008. Doesn't mean we shouldn't beat them, but it's been a long time since we could just roll out the balls and expect to romp.

Makes you wonder, why this was not caught sooner and how did are staff realize there was a problem?

These things are regularly caught late. This is not on the staff.

More like Kudos to the staff for helping to uncover it, instead of ignoring it and moving forward. I am sure that when the kids arrive on campus they do stress testing and other health exams before practice starts. I know the insurance costs for the team have to be sky high. I hope they caught it early enough, whatever condition is causing it is treatable, and maybe he can come back and still play again one day - either at UA or somewhere else. Remember, this is all about the student athlete. Heart issues are no joke for basketball players, especially when someone hits crazy growth spurts and becomes a 7 footer.
