  1. Wore a dark purple dress shirt, without a tie, and a UA Gold t-shirt underneath to the office today. CEO gave me a hard time for being a front runner. LOL

I'm also wearing purple today (polo), but my cubicle has some UAlbany memorabilia (mini helmet from the football game last year, signed Brown/Abrahamson mini-basketball from the PG scrimmage a few years ago, etc.) so everyone is asking me about the school and the game, etc.

  2.

1896 and 1999 are the only two years that TWO 14 seeds won in the same tourney.

I remember that 1896 game. Pretty sure it was NYU knocking off Brown.

    How old are you man...

Click - you don't want to know. I can tell you this - I saw Albany beat Siena at Cardinal Mooney HS (or was it Albany beating Cardinal Mooney at Siena HS - one of those two).

Actually there are few on here that know me and I was happy to reconnect at the Stony Brook game last week.

I think he meant that you were alive in 1896...lol

  3. Not sure where to put this, but Peter just got the 2015 SUNY Chancellor's Award for Student Excellence.

"This prestigious award recognizes SUNY students in the graduating class who have demonstrated the highest levels of academic excellence and made significant contributions to campus life at the University at Albany."

Honor ceremony will be April 2nd at 10AM at the Empire State Plaza

  4. I give credit to Lee and the former president on getting us to D1, etc....but they REALLY dropped the ball with all of the things that Mark (and President Jones behind the scenes) is now fixing up and rectifying (such as major marketing campaigns - assisted of course by The Shot).

Maybe it's not fair to place the blame on them as maybe these areas (marketing, community engagement) weren't their strong suites/fortes...but Mr. Benson is a breath of fresh air and doing an awesome job. He definitely, without a doubt, seems to be more 'hip' and 'connected'.

As my millennial peers would say, "He be straight killin it #winning #success #onfleek" :D:P

  5.

Update on St. Maarten Women's viewing is at Royal Palm pool bar. Royal Palm, unfortunately, doesn't have TRU TV on their lineup, so I believe we'll be at the SPN sports bar adjacent to Pineapple Pete restaurant. Sorry for all of these updates, but it's tough on the islands. Missed the 1st NYG superbowl in Guadaloupe (French), they'd never heard of the superbowl. Sacre Bleu!!

    How long is your vacation?

    Seriously... #ballastatusupinthisshizzle

  6. I believe Logan left cuz UA didnt have what he wanted correct??? Peter said in his interview on TV he was coming back to UA to get his Masters and he even said he wants to play pro ball, over in Europe...he will HAVE TO PLAY next year in order to accomplish that....I ahve zero worries that anything will change..and the Browns are so involved in this community, I'd be shocked if he left

Logan left because we didn't offer the degree he wanted to get, pretty sure you are correct.

  7. If I had to guess, probably $125-150k. At least, in the NBL (Australia). They have a cap of around $1M per team, so to field a 10-12 man roster you'd have to split that up. I'm basing that on the fact that he was a great player in that league and an MVP candidate (don't recall if he won one or not).
