I recorded much of the end of the game from my seat (have a great seat). I'll be producing a small video and I'll share it so it's downloadable. That way ya'll can at least have the end of the game forever.

My wife agrees. She said both Hartford injuries looked very painful. By the way, she was watching the game at the gym in Southeast Florida. Nice exposure for UA!

 

I never wanna see anything like that again. Her agonizing screams made it that much more real; poor girl. Especially as a senior, meaning that is the way he college career ends. Just terrible.

That needs to change. Don't they get a piece of the pie if they license? Why would you NOT license the logo? Someone else basically takes the overheard and manufacturing process while you get a cutback cause you own the logo? No work = money...come on.

I love Peter, especially what he went through with his mum (I was literally in his shoes almost exactly a year ago)...but I'm hoping this doesn't break our chemistry. He has been great off the bench. *fingers crosses*

That's what I'm talking about...baby steps, keep moving in the right direction. Get the logo, color and name out there. Even if it's people walking by in Walmart. Splash those billboards all over the place, market on campus and keep winning. This will grow over time...

Now, THAT, is seriously awesome. I remember when I was in a gas station in Kentucky (Lexington)...tons of UK stuff in there. Or in a Syracuse area walmart, tons of Orange stuff. Don't think I've ever seen any Siena stuff, so this is even better.

I haven't been able to see any of the billboards as I've been primarily using the Thruway the last few weeks, but based on MsGDG's posts they are all over the place which is awesome.

The next 24hrs are gonna suck...I want to be at the game already.

There is no internal marketing, that is the problem. Other than an email here or there (seems like more frequent now due to the student ticket releases), as I've said before there is nothing on campus screaming "WE HAVE AWESOME SPORTS!". No fliers, no events, no notices on boards...just some lousy emails a day or two before a game.

School spirit? Doesn't exist at UAlbany. Granted, I am an almost full-time night student, so maybe at night it's different but...that's what I see (or don't see) when I walk around the campus to my classes.

Will we actually have ushers checking tickets? I don't remember ever having people check your ticket for sections unless in the chairbacks.

Yeah I don't know about the other seats, but the last few games there have been student ushers making people move (mostly young kids) who were trying to sneak into seats they didn't pay for.

Adams and Hughes are the worst. Those are the two that I dislike the most I think. I'm gonna be bringing the heat this game, I will not rest!

 

Last year at SBU we stood and screamed the whole game. Doubt that will happen Saturday but I won't mind if it does.

 

As for the refs, it is what it is. Nothing we can do about it. We can only hope that they suck for both teams equally and not skewed in one direction.

When's the last time ticket demand brought our athletic department ticketing department down to it's knees? I LIKE IT! Can't wait until we have a rabid fan base an fans camping out a week in advance like they do for the Duke/UNC game, lol.

Usually...maybe it's only certain days. They use ATL and CLT (Charlotte) a lot for their flights which go to FL or TX (I used to fly to Houston and Tampa). I love the ALB -> Tampa flight...3hrs and I'm there. 3hrs in a car and I'm just hitting Jersey lol.

Hope you find a flight Mad...we need people who will be loud!

First search on southwest was 490 atl to alb . Not my flight so I didn't look for other options

 

Seriously, who the heck uses Delta anymore? . Southwest > * (not just because of their favorable baggage policy either). Even better is that they have direct flights from ATL to ALB...I've flown via HJack a few times. You best be here to root your Danes to the Championship!

As Click said, 200. Our section usually leads the arena in chants, etc. Our section seems to have a lot of knowledgeable fans as well.

 

Sounds like there are a bunch of noisy, know-it-all types in that section. I'm not sure if tickets should be cheaper or more expensive in 200.

 

I disagree. We enjoy the game, but at least the people in my immediate area will usually say, "Okay, that was a good call" or "Albany got away with one there." We're loud and we give the refs the business, but only when it's super warranted. We try to be unbiased and honest. If the ref deserves it though, we have no problem lettin him know.

 

I was just kidding. I know just how great the fans are in section 200 are.
