if we play like we did for 95% of that 2-drive stretch in the 3rd quarter against JMU, [and actually catch the ball] we have a shot....

We didnt score a single touchdown in that game. JMU gave us 10 points for a safety. Our only offensive score was, ironically, from a field goal. I didn't think JMU played all that well either.

I really don't understand why our coaching is so bad this year. Seemed to be the thing we always "hung our hat on", but now it is just terrible. WTF?

JMU boards are saying Bob Ford commented that they "play to their level of competition and without passion". Does anyone have a link to the conference call? If true, I am sure they are going to want to dispel that rumor on the field.

What's the deal with coaching this season? Has Bob Ford "checked out" already, so to speak? I thought the one thing we had going for us this year WAS coaching, yet it seems to be one thing we are sorely lacking.

How was the marching band?

Watching from Atlanta, Georgia it looked like big time college ball. The stadium is impressive, and although it was a bad loss, I am still grinning ear to ear.

I always figured peer assessments hurt us, so I'm glad to hear that they took some emphasis away from it. Agreed that these rankings are pretty much BS, but unfortunately too many kids (and their parents) use it as a basis for selecting schools. lol @ last comment re: Bing.

At least we're moving in the right direction. I wonder how much the Nano College played into that? Either way, Dr. Jones needs to continue to work on it. We should be in the Top 100.
