Looked like the stands were empty for the pep rally, at least in the pics I saw on facebook.

It's such a commuter school. I appreciate them trying to change that but they force it. There are talks of them taking over Turner Field after the Braves leave. Can you imagine them trying to fill that?

Love the tagline...We Play for You Albany...clever. Looks like a digital board...hopefully they are running all over the area.

The same concept should be applied to the student ghetto. Raze all those derelict buildings and replace with a massive housing/retail/commercial development, similar to Atlantic Station in Atlanta.

NDSU released a list of candidates for their AD opening, and two stood out to me: Stony Brook senior associate athletic director Matthew Larsen and St. Bonaventure athletic director Stephen Watson. I wonder if one of them decided to stay closer to home...

Looking at pics of BFF, I realized they never put the UA logo on the tower nor the "HOME OF THE GREAT DANES" sign on the roof. What's the deal with that?

yeah, UA should focus on language study of all things.

We're playing some great programs at home this year, it would be a damn shame if they kept that side unfinished this season. Not only for the lost ticket revenue, but it will look amateur. Can you imagine being at games or watching on TV with the entire visitor-side looking like a gravel pit? They won't let that happen, will they?

Didn't hear anything. While checking the Facilities Management site, I saw a pdf of upcoming capital construction. Expansion of the Campus Center is supposed to start this month. Hadn't heard that the U acquired the old Albany High School building last year, to be used for meeting and classroom space. Nothing in the report about any more athletic facilities, but the CC includes a student fitness area. http://www.albany.ed...n-narrative.pdf Nice find! Major kudos to the University on all the IMPRESSIVE facility upgrades. I can't believe how (dare I say) beautiful the campus is shaping up to be. The new campus center extension looks incredible, along with the data center, Mohawk Tower gut reno, landscaping, water tower and fountain, new entry way plaza and of course the Athletics facilities...WOW.

Anyone else catch the end of NBC Nightly News tonight? They did a segment on college graduation ceremonies and it closed with UA...showing students throwing their caps in the air. Clear shot of the B-School. Pretty neat.
