  1. I think Brown would like to win 10 or more games. Winning 10 is realistic if things work out well. It might be a tough year but 2004-05 should be the big year that the DANES solidify themselves as a legit DI program! I don't think Brown is making bold statements. 10 is a good goal! He usually is fairly laid back when talking about his program!
  2. 6'8 PF Brent Wilson led The Martin Brothers to the Heartland AAU Championship this past weekend. He had 16 pts. and 6 reb. in the championship. He made 4 3's!! Check out Hoopmasters.com
  3. I guess Iati is out a few more weeks. He can't get hit right now. I guess he is working out in drills. Wyatt has practiced! I hear Martin is pretty good! Also, St. Hillaire. Knotts is supposedly the disappoinment! No idea about tryouts. I doubt anybody would make it. I also heard that walk-ons Johnson and Cheese are hard workers!
  4. Nice job by Singelais! The DANES have a chance to be pretty good in 2004-05!
  5. Fox 23 sports reports DAnes get 6'8 PF Brent Wilson and 6'5 wing Brian Lillis both from Iowa!
  6. Tony, It's interesting how Siena fan's whine when you challenge them on the board. So you instantly cut people off the board! You've got to be kidding me! You guy's are unbelievable! What's worse is you control the board Tony! Toughen up softy! Get a grip!
  7. I asked and I was told his last name is Lillis and that he was hurt this summer. Played on a bad knee. Supposedly before the summer he had alot of higher level schools recruiting him. Missouri Valley and one from the Big Ten He was listed at 6'3 as a junior and I've seen him listed at 6'4 and 6'5. Guy's on the team say he is 6'5 200 lbs. Maybe even taller. He might still grow. His sister was All Big Ten at Iowa last year as a junior. She is 6'1. He still might be growing. Rumor has it that he can play the 1,2, and 3. Could be a steal!
  8. Brent Wilson is the 6'8 PF from Iowa. The guard is 6'5 and from the same AAU team as Wilson. They finished 2nd in the nation this summer at the AAU National Championships!
  9. Heard Albany got two commitments today from a 6'8 PF and 6'5 guard from Iowa. Can anybody confirm??
  10. Nice article on Albany commit David BAuman on Prep Stars. This kid is suppose to be a big time shooter!
  11. Tony, The Jaspers should go undefeated in the MAAC but they won't. Always lose one on the road. Niagara has no depth and Siena always loses a few that they shouldn't. BU was the best team without question. They beat Florida St., lost to Stanford on the road by 2 and should have won the game, and lost by 12 at Arizona. They lost by 4 at St. John's in the N.I.T. They can beat any MAAC team including Manhattan. Vermont will now have back to back AE Players of the Year in the line-up this year. If you don't think they can beat Manhattan then fine. They definitely can beat Siena and Niagara. Northeastern will have the most talent in the AE this year. Remember, they beat Boston College last year. They can beat Siena, Manhattan, and Niagara. They can play with Manhattan because they have athletes! Not taking anything away from Manhattan! However, Siena and Niagara would be in the Top 5 in the AE but not even a close to a sure bet to win it!
  12. Tony, You do need role players. However, Albany needs as much talent infusion as possible. Sam was awful this summer. He went scoreless on numerous occasions! Also, not to start an argument. Manhattan will be by far the best team in the MAAC this year. Vermont, BU, and Northeastern could beat any team in the MAAC including Manhattan. Vermont has it's entire team back and 2002 AE Player of the Year T.J. Sorrentine returning. He sat out last year due to injury and they still went to the tourney. BU won the AE regular season and beat Florida State last year and lost at Arizona by 12. Northeastern has 3 All America East 3rd teamers back. They add Miami, FL transfer Marcus BArnes who averaged 12ppg as a soph in the Big East and made the All Big East Conference Tournamet team after scoring 31 on UCONN. Also, pg Jose Juan Barea made the Junior World Championships All World Team(5 best players) for Puerto Rico. He had 35 on the U.S.A. From top to bottom the MAAC is better. More depth without question. The top 3 in the AE can win the MAAC. Manhattan is tough though!
  13. Supposedly 6'8 PF Brent Wilson from Cedar Rapids, IA is close to making a decision. His AAU teammate is visiting this weekend. A 6'5 guard/wing. They play for the Martin Brothers AAU out of Iowa which finished 2nd in the nation at the National AAU Championships this summer. Four teammates from the same team have already committed. Two verballed to Dayton, one to Iowa, and one to UNC Wilmington. This must have been a really good team!
  14. David Bauman is mentioned today on hoopscooponline.com They mention him committing to Albany and that he can shoot lights out!!!!
  15. Brown smacked Albany and they did a poor job offensively in the red zone or it would have been worse! Brown will finish in the bottom of the Ivy League(NO Scholarships!) I saw in the TU today that Albany was advertising in the CLASSIFIEDS for a QB?
  16. NEC football is bad and if Albany was such a powerhouse then they would have a QB who could play a little. The level is poor. Look at Brown getting beat 52-14 by Harvard. Are you kidding???
  17. Don't expect either to play! Both will be good practice guy's. Johnson might help for a few minutes. We need Das Big Man, Lucius, and four new recruits!
  18. Harvard is beating Brown 45-14 early in the 3rd Qtr. Our football has a long way to go when it can't compete with the Ivy League!!
  19. Sam Dolan would not help Albany get where it is trying to go! He is limited offensively!
