  1. Read this about Gerardo Suero on One Bid Wonders. Not sure how true it is but if it is it's a shame.
  2. Hopefully people check the website if they're going to the game. It starts at 6:30 I think, not 7 PM as in the article.
  3. I share some of those questions also. I've been optimistic because we did play at least two games without Logan and Suero last season. We were better on defense against Vermont - Iati missed a three at the end to tie if I remember right. Also against Rider which was our best win of the year going by the RPI.
  4. It might be hangover from the Wagner football game. Or maybe disbelief that it's already basketball season. Hooley just cannot catch a break. Hopefully he survives practice to do some damage to the other guys for a change. I'm looking forward to Friday.
  5. First game notes of the year are up. Starting lineup: Iati Black Guerrier Devlin Metcalf
  6. I thought we might lose that game today. I didn't think I'd have to watch that humiliation. Hats off to Wagner. They played as a team and with a ton of passion and purpose. I would have admired it if they weren't beating living snot out of my team at the time. While I'm at it, you were totally right Bob, it looks like they did practice this week. They were prepared, the only ones on the field who were. With the exception of the Monmouth game, this team looks to have played it's best football during the OOC. I hope that gets turned around. BTW, I'm leaving the "top 25" banner up at the top of the page. If refers to Field Hockey.
  7. I'm happy for him but after all these years at Albany this still looks weird..
  8. Hard to believe we need a 2014 recruiting thread but Iowa Preps says we've offered Reed Tellinghuisen. Sounds like he's an AAU teammate of Dallas Ennema.
  9. The Wagner roster has a lot of guys from Staten Island. I would imagine football might not be the first thing on their mind. I wouldn't blame them considering how hard they got hit. Saturday's game might be a good time to do some kind of Hurricane Sandy relief fundraiser.
  10. Or maybe your post is misdirection. Hmmmm... Starting four seniors and a junior wouldn't be the worst way to start the year. From what we saw in the scrimmage PT is going to be tough. I'd think the returning guys have to get the edge early on and considering Iati's three point shooting was video game-like while he was a starter.
  11. Top offense in the conference against the top defense in Wagner, at least statistically. They're also leading the nation in kickoff returns, both in yards per return and touchdowns. I really don't like that stat.
  12. I'd prefer a good team that finds a way to win without driving me crazy but I'll take it. I don't think we can clinch next week. Three games left, all against the top half of the conference.
  13. Jon Morgan has been HUGE! He was hurt earlier this week too. Hopefully we've figured out that having a ranking number next to your name comes with a big bulls-eye.
  14. I'm glad you posted this Danefan, it's pretty cool. I've pinned it so we can update it each week. Next closest guy on the list is Aaron Mellette, a WR from Elon.
  15. A chance to clinch a playoff spot tonight against SBU. No one better to do it against than the Seawolves.
  16. Maybe this whole thing was a ploy to get us to appreciate Roger Wyland more? I happy to see it go back to 980 as much for signal strength as anything. I know it's really, really old-fashioned but I sometime listen to the broadcast on an actual car radio and not the internet. A couple of miles from campus and you can't get WCDB.
  17. Looks like the Philly visit wasn't Karonn Davis but maybe Lamin Fulton instead. He committed to UA today according to the AE board. He's a former St. Peter's PG.
  18. Kinda funny Yank, you could probably describe Brian Voelkel and Tommy Brenton the exact same way and you'd be right. Both played small forward last year and I think Rowley can do the same. I see Rowley and Guerrier splitting time at small forward and a combination of Gary Johnson, Mike Black and Hooley at SG. As much as I liked the new guys I'd give the starting edge to the returning players until everyone gets up to speed. I'd like to see what Hooley can do starting at guard. He plays like a maniac, competes hard and his passing makes guys around him better.
