  1. No doubt we are going to struggle sometimes next year and Click will post gifs of burning dumpster fires. Last year there were times, even in games we won, that the team looked like it wasn't having much fun. Hopefully we see something different next year.
  2. It depends on where Cremo lands. If both Oklahoma and Arizona are recruiting Aaron Calixite then it's certain possible. Stephan Jiggits was third-team all NEC and this year he played over 30 minutes a game in the American Conference.
  3. Disappointed Cremo is leaving but I'll be curious to see where he ends up and wish him well. He's a guy who basically locks himself in the gym all summer to work on his game. He likely looks around at what Huerter is doing at Maryland, Platek getting time at North Carolina, JGIII getting offers from Duke and Hameir Wright at Washington. The appeal of another season of bus rides to Orono and Durham might not seem that appealing. Again, not happy with the decision but I understand. I think most of us knew he was going to be a terrific player for us when he signed. I think the staff probably has to take a look in the mirror regarding this situation also. In the years he was here we never really managed to build around him with other quality pieces.
  4. With four players gone due to graduation and four to transfer, we return 10 points of scoring next year. Devonte Campbell at 6.7 ppg Ahmad Clark at 3.7 ppg Nick Fruscio at .3 ppg We are set up really, really well to have a Rookie of the Year candidate since we'll have at least 5 and they're going to have to play.
  5. Yup. It sucks and is going to suck for a while. Going to suck to see Cremo play in another uniform next year. Been watching Cremo play since his junior year of high school As Dane96 said, he would have been a legend had he stayed but the grad rule is creating free agency in college basketball. Only read bright spot is knowing our players don't just graduate, but graduate in three years.
  6. Not much to go on with the Lauderdale commitment but that doesn't always mean anything. Good size and if he can shoot from distance that's a great asset. He checks the marks in the skill areas for a big - nearly 80% from the free throw line and 40% from three.
  7. Nice part of my bracket sucking is I don't have to worry about it anymore and can just enjoy the upsets. Loyola game was fun to watch. Also, the K-State run. Not sure why Illinois thought firing Bruce Weber a few years ago was a good idea. They've sunk to the bottom of the Big 10 and Weber has K-State on a great run.
  8. Not sure if we would be thinking about taking a transfer this year but there are some interesting guys out there. Marcus Carr was a teammate of Cam Healy at Montverde and is leaving Pitt after they fired Kevin Stallings. Probably a stretch who will likely go higher. Harry Froling is an Aussie big guy who is leaving Marquette. He's already transferred once from SMU so I'm not sure how that would work.
  9. The label has changed. There's an "all activity" button on the right side of the home screen. If you click it, there are a couple of options and unread content is one of them.
  10. Amazing run. UMBC was down by 10 at the half at home to Lowell a couple weeks ago. Tonight, a couple of minutes from the sweet 16. Did the conference proud.
  11. But somehow still exciting. 8 minutes left and it feels like the next basket wins.
  12. I've been away from all screens for a couple of days and return to find this thread. Good to know the internet is still as crazy as when I left it.
  13. Just a reminder to bump this up. An hour or so to go before I regret my picks. So maybe Iona going to the sweet 16 wasn't a good idea...
  14. You've probably noticed things look a little different. There are still some background processing running that are rebuilding old posts, custom signatures, etc so things are going to look vanilla for a little while since I'll only slow things down by messing with it. Otherwise, post away!
  15. Thanks. You guys are great. It wasn't a funding issue however, it was a version problem and we're looking better now.
  16. Thanks. I'm going to experiment with the colors a bit so you might want to wait a bit.
  17. Anthony Mack is leaving Wyoming. Red-shirted this season with a concussion.
  18. We had wins over two teams in this year's NCAA bracket - UMBC and Iona. Anyone remember the last time we could make that claim? PS. I still understand this year was disappointing, etc, etc.
  19. Really would have been impressed if you could have nailed the 2019 bracket in 2018.
  20. Sorry about the board being down yesterday. Thanks for everyone who texted me, emailed me and came to my house to let me know There are still some updates to run. I keep waiting for a "quiet" time to do them but then we go out and do things like have the best lacrosse team in the country and there aren't many "quiet" times.
  21. I forgot Lyles could have left as a grad transfer but stuck with UMBC. Great game, great finish. Would have been better for the conference for the Cats to go but I can totally live with them in the NIT.
  22. Sorry there won't be another game. It amazes me that people talk about the "c-tourney" games costing money. We have an athletic department filed with non-revenue sports that travel to play and costs money to do so but when it comes to tournament basketball games we all become budget conscious. If nothing else, not having to practice and travel for a post-season tournament should give the staff more time to recruit.
  23. They're having a nice run. Still would be great to see another SUNY men's basketball program beside us make the NCAA tournament without having players arrested. Buffalo is down from having three guys arrested during their first trip to only one arrested after their second trip. They're on their way. Sorry if this sounds snarky but I couldn't help but notice.
