  1. I really wish we could see this every year in the OOC as well. There'd be a lot more tushies in the gray seats.
  2. Weird question but why are they still wearing Nike. I thought they were Under Armor now..or is that just Football?
  3. Good looking lockers, what horrible lighting though (sorry..just redid my kitchen and noticing everything these days)
  4. Lack of intelligence and mental illness are two completely separate issues.
  5. Does this past year count as a redshirt year? I believe he was a true Frosh in 2018
  6. so you're saying he made a questionable coaching move? Sorry..couldn't resist. Carry on.
  7. I believe they cut football so not sure how big a get this is. Any word on the cb?
  8. Remember when JoJo Anderson was going to bail this team out? I want this team to be so good, I want people in the stands, but its never going to happen with this group on the sidelines.
  9. Win or lose, Will Brown and this team should be ashamed of themselves. This is a joke.
  10. I was thinking about your big game comment last night. If you can't get your team up for a nationally broadcast game against a local rival with a long storied basketball history, and a win would raise the profile of the school and help recruiting, than what IS a big game?
  11. That's my problem. It's only about that..but it's NOT. That isn't going to get people excited to go see a game..I would hazard a guess that part of Vermont's success in recruiting is that there's a lot more appeal to playing in a small but packed and rowdy gym than a half empty cavern of gray with occasional bursts of enthusiasm.
  12. That's an interesting development. He's being paid a lot by mid-major standards (350k or so). Wonder what's going on internally considering the success chasm that's opened up in recent years. For the record, even though you are all sick of my broken record, is that my frustration with the program is the lack of excitement these middling years brings, plus the general sluggish style of basketball that Will Brown employs (which I think is out of step with the current style). I want excitement in the stands when I tune in on ESPN+ from faraway Los Angeles. Instead all I see is apathy. Winning brings excitement, winning fills stands..and I don't just mean winning championships. I mean people know that when they show up there's a good chance of a win regardless of opponent and that they'll be entertained Look at lacrosse and how many butts were in the seats during the Connor FIelds years... People will come, but you have to win consistently and put an exciting product on the field.
  13. So the problem is both retention AND development?
  14. And for reference, Arizona State just lost to a top 25 team by 40. Although we don't need modus tollens to tell us...UA is not a good team..
  15. Can anyone explain to me the strategy of waiting for the "right guy" to inbound the ball? All it does is give the defense time to set up their press. So odd and infuriating.
  16. I'll say this. Impressive gets so far as I scroll through. Took a guy or two from UNH and from Villanova and even one dude from a Big 10 school. Wow. Now where those big Juco dudes?
  17. Have either Mencer or Green been invited to any post-season all-star games? I have to imagine at least Green has a good shot of getting an NFL sniff. He's great at contested balls which is a huge thing in the NFL these days, plus he's got decent speed. Mencer's size might be a concern, but he's tenacious. I know scouts were sniffing around earlier in the season.
  18. Now this is more like it... Mark Singelais UAlbany wide receiver Juwan Green made first-team Associated Press FCS All-America. Great Danes defensive end Eli Mencer made the second team.
  19. Cuff gets Frosh All-American along with the NDSU kid https://herosports.com/fcs/football-2019-fcs-freshman-all-american-teams-ajaj
  20. And no interceptions and 800 rushing yards and 11 rushing TDs. It's not apples to apples.
