Luke played 6 minutes on 2/26 . Then not at all.  The crazy thing is how does it go from an incident in NOVEMBER, to playing all year, to not playing in final 2 games.  All I can think of is the situation got worse and worse.  It had to.

The incident apparently occurred before the game . Not after.  

I just checked Twitter and it does look like Luke is the guy in question 

So I only know one person that is in "the know" and he stated the following to me:

He believes Killings hit a walk on just prior to a game in November.  My guess is Luke. 

He stated it was not the worse thing ever, the issue is that it was covered up. 

Stated the Albany President is out of the state, somewhere south.  

Decision will be made after the final four. 

His opinion is that both Killings and Benson will be gone. He stated it was not because of the initial incident but because of the cover up. Basically because of the world today and the damage to the school if allowed to keep coaching.  

Best of both worlds would be a minor incident.  Killings apologize and we move on. 

Benson gets fired for not reporting the incident sooner.  

Sad to say I see both getting fired.

I understand.  My point is : im 40 years old.  I can't just put on Twitter I'm committing to ualbany basketball. Have it be covered by the local News outlets, ect.  He would have had to been in communication with the coaching staff. Been offered a walk on spot and accepted.  I would have hoped the coaching staff would have told him about this.

School allegedly finds out (at what level is the real question, it is being stated at the Presidential level by unconfirmed tweets) in late February.

6 weeks into the investigation and the school puts out that random statement

6 weeks into the investigation and the coach is on a multi-week leave of absence

6 weeks into the investigation, the team's star player goes into the portal when he presumably would be welcomed back.

Folks, it does NOT take 6 weeks to investigate whether a coach struck a player.  I do these investigations at least once every 6-8 months at my company (harassment, etc) as claims happen all the time when you put people together.  Something as cut and dry as this...doesn't take 6 weeks to have an independent review.   What WOULD take 6 weeks is if indeed there was some sort of mutual story (player, coach, ADept) and the school C-Suite got wind of the complaint.  That would take a much longer time of interviews, reviewing phone calls, text messages, e-mails, etc.

No . It's on the wnyt website and dozens of new outlets.  Google "Killings Albany". 

As much as I hope it blows over because I do believe Killings can get the job done, I do believe he will be fired.

Does it matter ? A walk on is still in communication with the staff. They are guaranteed to be on the team. They do everything the team does they just don't get a scholarship.  

So your saying thay because he is a walk on that he is disregarded and not told things? 

I posted this on the AE board but we got a commitment from a player last night he knew nothing about this . Hard to believe.  The staff would have had to say something.  

This thread has taken soo many twists and turns but at this point my opinion is this :

something happened early November.  A cover up happens to some degree. 

late in the season it gets high enough in the university higher-ups. 

An investigation ensues, players and interviewed and here we are.  

Horton seemed to support Killings so maybe he knows Killings is getting fired. Maybe not. Maybe he is doing it just in case. 

If the allegation was really bad Killings would have been fired immediately. Will be an interesting couple of days.

Just odd.  Very odd.  Must be something to it.  But it does not make sense at all . If it was really bad I would have expected him to be fired on the spot (upon learning about it) . But now that it's out there a decision needs to be made .

Just thinking ....Dwayne Killings and MBB has been very quite since the season ending loss in the quarterfinal ..... only one Instagram posting, for a players birthday, since season ended  no local news media stories either ....is he out recruiting?  Interesting no posting about March Madness Fund Drive on Instagram unlike other sports .... may just be overwhelmed by the success of WBB.....

I don't agree with many of your posts but you hit the nail on the head with this one.  They were very quite and now we know why . Well done.  

So maybe Horton is transferring because he supports Killings.  Maybe he was not the student in question.  

To my knowledge no player left the team in Novemeber ? Right ? So Killings hit a player, then the player stayed on the team? WHAT ???????

There has been an ongoing investigation into an incident involving Albany head coach Dwayne Killings and a player back in November, source told

. Killings has been away from the team the last few weeks on leave.

Are they discussing it on Twitter or another platform.  If so can you post some examples?  Are they supporting Killings or against him ? 

Now alleged is in ****.  Just weird. We will see but this is just odd right now.

No.  Got to be a national search again.  

Again we are getting somewhat ahead of ourselves however.  If we fire both the AD and Killings we will certainly suck next year.  

It takes time to hire an AD and the AD hires the head coach.
