  1. Do you really think cutting prices in half would double attendance? Cutting them by 75% would quadruple attendance? The program is not a money maker as it is. We all want this amenity and that amenity, but also think it's too expensive? They need to do everything in their power to build a fanbase... Sell out building regularly then start raising prices to maximize profits. They are doing the opposite... Jacking prices and mandatory donations to buy season tickets... Instead of growing the fanbase and then wonder why people feel priced out. I again agree with every word of this. 100000000 likes... I said this exact thing with football last year. Cheaper prices, build a fan base, then raise them gradually. The only way I would think about disagreing with this is if we were saving money for a HUGE jump in athletics. Which we all know is not happening. Therefore build the freaken FANBASE!!!
  2. He did that this year and I believe they did not use Foster the right way. Guy should have started from day one.Your right. But Foster was not really in the rotation at his other schools. You see it all the time but I was thinking a couple of guys at a big school averaging like 8 points a game that drop down.A guy from a major conference averaging 8pts a game is certainly not dropping to a low major. 8pt/game you would be looking at a lateral move not a drop down. Usually grad transfers are the other way around anyway. The big schools pluck them out of the mids (which I can see happening with David). He can probably play up somewhere closer to home. A change might be for the better for both sides.Just cross referenced verbal commits and espn to find Red Shirt Srs from 2017. In 5 minutes found 6 that when from high majors to mid majors averaging at least 6 points a game. I'm not saying it's easy but they are out there and with cremo and Nichols, both 1st team all conference, why would you not wanna come here for a year. Even a proven mid major big is fine. They are most certainly out there. Just need to get them. But your right. There may be only a few this year and most do lateral.
  3. 100 percent right ....100 percent !!!

  5. I've said this b4 but I'll say it again. Next year Cremo and Nichols will be seniors. If I'm Brown I market the crap out of them and give Joe every chance to be on a great team. Take in two 5th year Seniors. Guys from Big schools looking to drop down. We SHOULD have better depth next year. The two drop down guys combined with Joe and David would be huge. You could take a chance on a JUCO big but if they are any good the bigs go to better schools.
  6. Exactly. Our guys gave it their best. The more athletic team won. Had the refs not been so bad and our shooting not sub-40%, we would have won notwithstanding SB's athleticism.I thought that SB played an excellent perimeter defense tonight, which significantly contributed to our poor shooting we didnt get many quality/open looks. Even the threes we made they had a hand in our face.Playing perimeter defense is easy when you don't have to cover one of them. I think Brown and staff made two big mistakes this year. 1) redshirting all the Aussies 2) playing Campbell so much when he showed he was a huge offensive liability and made opposing defenses better and allowed them to double Charles more and close off lanes by playing off Campbell. Our defense was bad enough, how much worse could it get without Campbell. At one point he was 0-6 from the field and 1-4 from the line. That hurts......a lot.Wing was another position with zero depth... Zero... I agree with this. I also think it is a talent/recruiting issue. We haven't filled in the roster around Cremo and we were figured out this year in conference. It was a combination of Nichols and Campbell killing us. Nichols was inconsistent at best but Campbell was the real problem. I kept saying early in conference play that teams were sagging off Campbell. Anyone with a baseball IQ could see it and Brown finally admitted it last night. But as Click said it's a depth thing. We did not have anyone to replace him. All kidding and emotion aside, unless his offensive game improves, he is a 15 minute a game guy next year .
  7. I feel bad for the whole team but of course mostly for Joe. I hope David is back. He is a good player and still gives us our best chance to win. With at least 5 freshman next year, if we wanna be good next year we will need to recruit 2 impact older players. Let's hope that happenes. Disappointing second half of the season. I know many of us (including me) thought this team could be the best ever. Need to reload and get better!!!
  8. Please no I think we need to. This way we can say we have been to ______ consecutive post seasons. They may use it on the recruiting trail. But believe me I don't wanna go.
  9. The problem is their best player did not play the last 16 minutes. And we could do nothing. Need to play with more fire.
  10. This team has no fire. None. No leadership. No nothing. It's like they don't care. If they lose tonight the season should be over. No bs tournament. They don't deserve it.
  11. I was really really hoping the lower seeds would get an upset. I just do not see it. There are a huge difference between the top and bottom of our league. Of course we need to win as well. But I think Hartford handles UNH (10 or more points) . Again I hope I'm wrong
  12. You nailed it for the second half. Lyles is dominating and Lowell can't figure it out So hard to keep him in check. I would give him the 3 and not let him drive. Easier said then done.
  13. Kind of like us in the second half against UMBC. Wide open 3's and Lowell is missing them
  14. No way they keep Lyles to 2 points on 1/6 shooting in the second half. If he goes off UMBC will come back and win. If they can keep him in check Lowell has a shot.
  15. We are an 8.5 point favorite in Vegas. Hartford is a 5.5 point favorite and UMBC is a 10 point favorite. If people believe there will be upsets take them on the Money Line. There is money to be made!!!!!!!!
  16. I agree...I can see both lose. Lowell just put up a 92 spot on UNH. I am with you guys on this one too. I think 1 will lost, if not both. Big help to us if one of them chokes. Both and we get another home game! I really love ur optimism. However I'm going to say neither loses. I do think it will be close, and God knows I'll be hoping, however in the end I think the better teams will prevail. Again I really hope I'm wrong !!!
  17. Not 100 percent sure but I don't think u can. This is a tournament game. I think the money goes to the conference. I think the tix prices are set by the conference. Could be 100 percent wrong.I believe only the championship gate goes to the conference. I could be wrong as well. That would be crazy if that's the case. In the Albany/ Brook game: who sets prices? Who gets the money ? 50/50 split? Bc if the home team gets to set prices then why not make non chairback tix like $1?? Pack the place and make it a real home court advantage. That's why I think it's set by the conference.
  18. Not 100 percent sure but I don't think u can. This is a tournament game. I think the money goes to the conference. I think the tix prices are set by the conference. Could be 100 percent wrong.
  19. Bench is playing well. Win the game. No one get hurt. Onto Saturday where I think we will see a lot of zone. 2-3 and the 1-3-1.
  20. Too bad for him being a senior . Accidents happen but he should have not been in the game at that point. But hey, that Maine game mattered just as much as Saturdays game, that's why we are playing out starters 35 mins, according to most!!!!!!!! Lol
  21. And is a damn good one. They have no bench. The starters play 30+ minutes a game. They fade down the stretch. I'm not saying don't try to win but they are tired. Just because it's an excuse does not mean it's not correct. I can't lift a car. Because I'm not strong enough. That's an excuse right? I'm just saying were 2 two games that mean nothing. Zero. Zip. Nada. Let them play 20-25 mins. A week is great. But we need them to play as close to 40 minutes for if we are lucky 3 Huge games You are contradicting yourself here. You are saying give them a rest, but then you are saying they need to play 40 minutes for 3 games in March. I agree they seem to be fading at the end of the games and its costing us. To clicks point, They just rested for a week. You don't get more rest than that once the season starts. If they get tired at the end of the game after a week off, what makes you think playing them 25 minutes against bing and then playing the starters 40 minutes on Saturday night in Round 1 is going to be any better. You can't complain that they are tired and need rest if we are going to win, and then say our only chance of winning is for the starters to play 40 minutes. I completely disagree with "it is ok to lose to Maine and Bing if it means they are fresh going into the tourney". What happens when you lose to two awful teams then lose round 1? Everyone on this board and everywhere criticizes the coaches for building no momentum and crushing the confidence of the team by losing to Maine and Bing on the way in at home no less. Every game is important, every game means sometimes when you only play 30 games. In baseball sometimes the starter needs to stay in the game when he is tired because there is no one better in the bull pen than him even if they are at full rest. The narrative hasn't changed since the conference games started unfortunately. They are going to have to find a way to gut it out on fumes. The best thing that can happen is start quick and steal some minutes on the bench early in games. A slow start means they are staying out there because there is no one coming out of the bull pen to save them. Contradicting myself???? No offense but you don't understand the meaning of the word. Let me give u an example of a contradiction. Play them 25 minutes against Maine and then 40 mins against Binghamton. That's a contradiction. I'm saying play the starters 25 minutes in 2 games that don't really matter. Leading up to games that REALLY matter. Then play them a ton when it does. That's not a contradiction at all. It's apples (2 meaningless games) vs oranges (win or go home.) I try to bring logic to my posts. While I agree momentum is good to have, I believe a fresh team, in our case is more important. (Because of the issues of us finishing games. UMBC and Vermont to name a few, that we may see again.) That's my option and maybe not a popular one. My Opinion is also we would have beaten Maine playing Costa 10 more minutes and X 10 minutes. Again maybe not a popular one. U appear to be the type of person that believes a Football team that clinches home field and nothing to play for, has to play their starters the whole game for the last game of the season. Some people believe that may kill momentum of you don't . I don't. But again that's your opinion and I def respect that.
  22. I thought about this the other day, please let me know what you all think because I very serious about this. Siena stance has been, the game is for the community. That's why they won't come to the Sefcu. Well this will solve it: Sign a 4 year deal. Every year the game is at the Times Union Center. In return Albany gets 80 percent of the revenue. Siena will keep 20 percent to pay for operational costs. If it's really about the community Siena would sign this asap. The game stays and Siena losses no money. When they say NO, and we all know they will, they can never again state it's all about the community. They get the home field advantage and nobody is closed out and in return we get all the money . All kidding aside given what they are arguing, it's perfect .
  23. And is a damn good one. They have no bench. The starters play 30+ minutes a game. They fade down the stretch. I'm not saying don't try to win but they are tired.
