  1. Agreed. Was thinking the same thing. Thought the same thing when Nichols was on the floor with cramping, Cremo had leg problems, and then Charles got hurt. Hard to question the Coach, but in this case, I think he should have gone deep into the bench. He should have gone deep into his bench to lose? If he pulls the starters with about 5 minutes to go we lose, I am almost fairly certain of that. There was a big part of me that wanted to starters out but when the team couldn't stretch the lead to 15 points or so under 5 minutes they were going to have to stay in. Was it a meaningless game? I was a meaningless game to win, but not if we lost. If we lost to Maine, who I thought played really hard, it would have been a bigger problem that Davids cramps. Travis' injury could loom large but if the group of starters wasn't sleep walking through the last 6-8 minutes then maybe they could have enjoyed some time on the bench. Bing is going to be the same way. Meaningless if you win, but not if you lose. You don't want to walk into the tourney coming off a season sweep by the team that didn't even make the tourney. If you want the starters off the floor, the bench MUST be better. I really disagree. If we lost then we lost. It meant nothing except momentum. We have faded several times. Not once but several times over the last 5 minutes of a game. Our starters are tired. Cremo is missing a ton of free throws and fading badly in the second half. That's just one example. I would rather lose the last 2 and have 100 percent fresh legs. Remember the regular season is great but it's all about 3 games in March. There is not a person in the world that will dispute that. Be as fresh as possible, in my opinion.
  2. What I don't understand or like is that EVERY starter played at least 33 mins against Maine.... freaken MAINE. In a game that does not mean really anything. We have a major tendency to fade late in games. (Due to really playing 6-7 players.) Why not playing our starters around 25 mins against Maine and Binghamton? Because I do believe come tournament time we play our best 5 for as long as they can go. But let's get them a little rest before then.
  3. I'm not a Dr.... is he out for the year ??? Or is a week thing .
  4. Come on ... someone comment of Campbell's Defense . His man is 3/3 and blowing by him on nearly every possession. Again he is an average to above average defender. With an extremely below average offensive game. Needs to play 10 minutes a game next year.
  5. Thanks... u the man !! Or women . Don't wanna assume and be part of that: Pound me two movement.
  6. It starts with the atheltic administration. Plain and simple. Need to put real effort and resources into the program. If that happens program and attendance will grow. To be honest I'm so unimpressed with our AD so far. I hope things will change.
  7. U may think I'm crazy but if I'm Brown I may bring in 2 5th year Srs unless I can get a can't miss JUCO player. Season not over , just food for thought. I don't think you're crazy but I'm not sure we need multiple 5th year guys. Our two best regular seasons - 2015(1st) and 2016 (2nd) we had dynamic scoring guards coming off the bench and both were freshman. 2015 was Wheeler Baker and 2016 was Joe Cremo. My thought behind the 2 proven 5th year guys is this ... we have Cremo and Nicols's. Name the other 3 starters that you feel very comfortable with? X-No Campbell-No Clark- if still on team . No Conway-No 5 freshman -No A proven JUCO? Maybe. I'm not a college coach but if I were Brown u have 2 very good senior guards. There will be very good 5th year guys around . U sell the crap out of those two .
  8. Gonna have to disagree. He was on Lyles most of the game and Lyles put up big numbers. Granted Lyles beat Joe a few times too, but Campbell was on him probably 60% of the game if not 75%. And he can't buy a bucket to save his life...that wide open 3 at the end of the 2nd half couldn't be more wide open. He promptly bricked it. #ReturnTheScholarship #HitTheRoadJaErmDevonte I asked the wife during the game when were up 12 if we made it to the title round in Burlington again if she'd like to attend (we did last year). That was premature on my part. This team won't make it to the championship round. Might not even make it to the semifinals. I just don't see how. We'll be lucky to make it out of the first round with these types of mental lapses (we had like 4 TO's in a row at one point). Waste of a season...Joe and David have yet to win a championship. We're in a dry spell now. UVM is basically a lock to win it all. I was just trying not to make my 10th consecutive negative post for the game . Haha. Campbell has been terrible, however like Click has said b4 we have nobody to replace him . I will post this is more detail after the season however we lose Stire, Foster, and Charles. Click say Lulka will be a beast but he will only be a freshman . If I'm will Brown am I going to waste Cremos and Nichols Sr years? U may think I'm crazy but if I'm Brown I may bring in 2 5th year Srs unless I can get a can't miss JUCO player. Season not over , just food for thought. I don't know if Lulka will be a beast but everything I heard is that he's very talented...he will be a freshman and will need time, maybe even a season or season and a half to get going. Let's not put to much pressure on a kid who's never played a single minute of D1 hoops. He is talented though I believe...very talented. That was kind of my point . I would bring in at least one 5th year guy ... maybe two. Let Lulka make is mistakes playing 10-15 a game. Anymore then that for a freshman will me tough.

  10. I know it seems like I'm being negative but some major observations and I challenge anyone to debate this: Cremo is a great players but has missed SEVERAL, SEVERAL big free throws throughout his career. I can name 4 games. Campbell, unless major improvement, should play about 8 to 10 minutes next year. This team does not get BIG/NEEDED defensive stops when it counts. Seems like never. Bottom line is this is an extremely underachieving team. Extremely disappointing. The AE is terrible.
  11. Lyles as done an outstanding job on cremo in the 2nd half.
  12. Campbell has played excellence defense today. But he is just such a liability of offense. It really hurts spacing.
  13. If there is any good news it's if we were to even hit 1/3 of these wide open 3's we would be up by 10.
  14. Costa his missed 3 WIDE open 3's. He is in there to make them.
  15. Campbell should not be allowed to shoot from outside 5 feet unless there is less then 5 seconds left on the clock. He is 1/4 on shots with at least 10 second left on clock.
  16. Yes... haha Cremo on the catch is shoot is unbelievable.
  17. Lyles on the bench with 2 fouls with 12 minutes left in the first half. Need to capitalize on this.
  18. Nice job defensively so far. UMBC taking and making tough 2's.
  19. https://newenglandrecruitingreport.com/rankings/connecticut-class-of-2018/ Malachi de Sousa has moved up to number 2 ranked player in all of Connecticut. Wow. Article on same website says he as an absolute steal. I guess we will see. But there is definitely cause for excitement.
  20. I think we start Campbell and see how the game flows. If Costa is on then yes, he would get the lions share of the minutes.
  21. 10% Finished with 7 first half points but he is constantly out of position.
