  1. Interesting. This is also interesting: Asst Athletic Director for Game Operations : $90,000 (One-time) Director of Promotions/Social Media: $60,000 (One-time) Why are these labled as one-time? Wouldn't these be base as they are ongoing costs (because it's a new job that was created I'm guessing)? Glad to see that they are bringing someone in with social media savy. Maybe part of their role is to generate the income needed to fund those positions.
  2. Regrading the class of 2013 - where's Ngachie? Ngachie, Andre Martin, Kalief Joyner, etc.? Ngachie injured and needed to work really hard to get ready for this year. Either didn't or recovery wasn't going well. He's on bench but not dressed. n
  3. For a second, I thought this was a basketball thread. I'm ready for the Sussman era to start.
  4. I would refer back to Dane96's post. It's certainly not uncommon for mistakes to be made in our youth. Most people are just lucky enough not to get caught when they make them. At most institutions at our level scholarship athletes are held to a higher standard than the general student population. Their class attendence, grades, etc. are monitored closely and they know they are always under scrutiny. It's one of the prices they pay to have the scholarship. I hope this all turns out well for Josh and he gets back on the team sooner than later. In the world we now live in this can haunt you for a long time. Every prospective employer will see this incident when the google his name. It's no small thing as no small thing gets missed anymore.
  5. I'm seeing it listed on TWC channel 324. I see the same thing Thanks, I was looking on 50.
  6. Not currently on the TWC listings. I see the Yale game is on until 4 PM currently. I hope there's a change.
  7. There were huge signs for everything. They can't handhold people lol.Maybe it was near the Beer Garden sign at the SEFCU.. It was a good start for a crappy weather game. People stayed pretty well in the rain. Once the lights went out people bailed. Heard it was a computer timer glitch. Love the uniforms and helmets...and it was cool to see the guy propose to his girlfriend, very neat someone would do that at BOFO. Not sure if the attendance was announced but we heard sales around 6k. Not sure if you're calling me blind or what... There was absolutely ZERO signage telling me where to go from the SEFCU steps near the Fallon Field enterance. I forgot my season ticket stub, but as a student, I didn't care as I get let in for free due to my student ID. Then I just go sit in my normal seat. I came up to the box office on the Fallon Field side (north) and there was a hand written sign taped to a cone saying for students to go to the south end of the building to swipe in. I got to the south end and didn't see a single sign telling me where the student ticket table was. I asked the girl at will call and she pointed aimlessly somewhere behind her. So I went to the next table, which ended up being the food vendor's table for people who don't have meal plans (more on that in a bit). They had no clue either, so I finally went inside the 'pregame' area and went to get food and found out because I didn't have student meal plan I had to go back to Table #2 and pay there, then come back to the buffet tents to get food. Don't know if I missed this because I was so focused on figuring out where the student ticket table was or what, but I didn't see any signs saying to pay at the Sodexo table first before entering IF you didn't have a meal plan. I did hear other people mumbling and trying to figure out where to go, so I guess I wasn't the only one. While back at the Sodexo table I saw James and asked him where the student ticket table was and he told me where. It was INSIDE the pregame area (not before it - which I found odd - why not put it right next to Will Call?). No other signs up to that point. Then, after getting my ticket finally, I went to the buffet tents to get food (the burger and pulled pork was excellent). I felt like a chicken with it's head cut off, walking back and forth. Again, something for them to build on. -------------------------------- As for the game itself, Crook looked excellent. Those back corner endzone throws were things of beauty. The competition sucked, so we'll see how we look against JMU. I saw the tent and sign next to the South Box Office that said Student Tickets.
  8. Always one of my favorite teams to follow and watch. If you haven't attended ca volleyball match, I highly recommend it. It is such a great team sport. I happened to watch one following a football game many year's ago and have been hooked on the team ever since. We hav been steadily improving our play over the years, as have others in the AE. We are starting to compete at a much higher level than we did when I first became a fan.
  9. We've met a few Albany fans this morning at the hotel. One couple in the elevator, husband's a West Va. fan, but the wife's brother coached at UA in 81, plus some grandparents of one of our players. I hear there were a lot of Albany fans at the hotel bar last night. Really interested in how big our crowd will be. I see quite a bnit of Bulls fans in the hotel as well. It's going to be about 86 degrees at game time. I hope our depth won't be a problem. Go Danes!
  10. We drive to Dallas in 2 days for Christmas. We mosey back for about a month!
  11. During my younger rugby days, we would drive to Toronto and back in a day.
  12. In the game notes Parker is first, Martin is the backup FB.
  13. How many board members are going to the Buffalo game? If you are signup for the tailgate. You can just sign up for the pregame tailgate tent, for only $5, without a ticket if you already have your tickets. I'd like to see this be successful , so we can expand on these types of events.
  14. I doubt basketball tickets are even printed yet. I won't expect them before the whole schedule is announced.
  15. Maybe James Troutman knows. I'm going to the alumni event, where I'll get a ticket. I assume we'll be seated in a group. If you're going to the game, register for the alumni event. You get a ticket and a meal at the tailgate. There will be a tent there. http://www.alumni.albany.edu/s/1642/02-alumni/index.aspx?sid=1642&gid=2&pgid=570
  16. I'd like to see the banners on the walls to cover up the grey, with a large picture of each team below them.
