  1. Any more news on ticket sales. I see there's an article in the TU in the pay-extra section (which I refuse to do)? Does that article have any more developments on the game?
  2. UA women lead Fairfield, another MAAC team, by 12 with about 8 minutes left.
  3. Women lost by 3 to Army. They racked up 14 fouls versus 9 committed by Army in second half. Army outscored UA in second half 46-32.
  4. Good rebounding by UA. It's strange that we were better at blocks than HC but worse in the steals department.
  5. Women now down by only 1 (was 6 a minute ago) with just seconds left in the third quarter.
  6. Women now down by 1 with almost 4 to go. They will need to adjust now to Army's aggressiveness.
  7. Women up by five with less than five left in game. Army has made up a lot of the difference in this fourth quarter.
  8. Another monkey off our back - maybe more than one today!
  9. Down 1...looks like hc made a last second bucket. Or was it two foul shots?
  10. What happened in the last two seconds. ESPN had Albany up one at "halftime?" Then I see HC gets two more points
  11. If things don't turn around soon, I wouldn't want to be in the locker room.
  12. A free-lance reporter filed the story.
  13. No story, no blog so far on the Times Union. Everyone off today?
  14. Tonight's top scorer for Albany with 18 points.
  15. UA women trail 4-th rated Tennessee at the half, 30-28.
  16. Yes, a few of us in the stands were surprised at our last possession. With all the experience this team has had, I was disappointed with the lack of poise at the end of the game. I didn't realize Singletary had 12 points in the game. He just seemed more quiet in the game. Stire impressed me, but I guess his performance faded a lot in the second half. Yes, there were some odd calls, but UA certainly had its chances. I couldn't believe the fade at the end of the game. I'm just wondering whether the team has enough fire in itself o win the conference four times in a row. It will be very interesting to see how USF plays against Kentucky in Miami this Friday. After driving a while to get to the game, it was a disappointing loss, but I was impressed by the Sun Dome. It's a very nice arena - much better fan experience than the Times Union Center - something I wish UA could adopt for home games. That said, I could not believe the press said the crowd was over 2,700 last night. From where I was sitting at the beginning of the game, it seemed like the band members outnumbered the rest of the fans.
  17. Good to hear that a lot of people showed up for last night's game even though it was against a Division III foe. Although some of us were upset about the loss to BU earlier last week, last night's game shows the long-term direction of our program. I remember in the last few years of our Division III status how intense some of the games against Oneonta were, even on our home court. For many years we could not buy a win down in Oneonta. Sometimes it's nice to see our games from a different perspective.
  18. NJIT beat USF tonight in Florida 60-57.
  19. We do have them...not sure what they are. But that's my point, I don't even know why Brown is bothering...it does nothing but get you 1 win closer to a 20 win season and MAYBE some 'game action' practice lol. I think the reason we are playing DIII Oneonta is because we need to play somebody. Otherwise, a large gap in the playing schedule will make the team rusty at the next outing. All the regular SUNY schools besides the four university centers play at the Division III level.
  20. Where is everyone sitting? I can see tickets are still available in Sections 101, 107-109, 201-204, 208, and 211-216 (except 215).
