  1. Already on the TU page. "Albany football stuns Buffalo 22-16." Hope this event fills Casey Stadium for a while.
  2. Just about to head to the sack and thought, Oh, yeah, UA played TONIGHT! So, how much did we get beat by? Am I seeing this right? Yeah, maybe the biggest win in school history. Maybe not. Tonight, who cares?
  3. Good, after what that team did to us in the conference playoffs, anytime they play us next year I hope they come out really flat.
  4. Great news! If he brings the spirit of competitiveness that he displayed as a UA player, he should be a great addition to the staff. Welcome home, Lucious!
  5. He's had a chance in the meantime to see a large part of the world.
  6. It was a national headline grabber. Not yelling. Couple of white kids got into it physically with some black girls and the black girls accused the white kids of racism, got the schools support, a 'candlight vigil' (or whatever type thing) at the LC one night where a few hundred people showed up, a public statement from said idiotic school president before ANY information was known, etc. etc. Turns out...the black girls lied and they are the ones who started the whole fight/thing (there was a few cameras on the CDTA bus this happened on). School president then never apologized for his rash jump to conclusions before he had all the information in which he basically said that the perpetrators of the crime will be brought to justice - meaning the white kids. When it came out the opposite happened, that the black girls were the real issue, his rhetoric was was turned down considerably and he basically played the whole thing off like no big deal. I personally sent 4 emails to him and his chief of staff asking for an explanation...so...hence I'm glad this racist toolbag is leaving. If you disagree with my take on his statements, etc...that's fine. But with everything going on in this country at the moment, his actions a few months ago were not a good representation of this schools leadership. Would not be surprised if behind the scenes he got some heat for that incident and this played a role in his leaving. Don't let the door hit ya where God split ya, Jonesy. Peace. I know this forum is not supposed to be about politics, but regarding the rush to judgment, do you remember Hillary's tweet sympathetic to the black women. I find there's a the rushing to judgment seems to be an epidemic. Maybe we can all learn from this incident.
  7. The article made it sound like Jordan was let go, rather than a career decision on his part. Any other ideas?
  8. It looks much better to this unsophisticated web user. I find it much easier to navigate to the sections in which I'm interested.
  9. Can we now revive the question as to whether UA's men's lacrosse team should be considered a national powerhouse?
  10. The scoring mistake is truly bizarre. Here's the story link on ESPN: http://espn.go.com/womens-college-basketball/story/_/id/15009922/albany-great-danes-florida-gators-game-ends-wrong-score-mistake
  11. As I posted on the AE board: "I am more than convinced now that the AE should have had two representatives in the women's NCAA tournament this year. When UA barely beat Maine for the conference championship on UA's home court, I was thinking that perhaps Maine would really best represent the conference. Now I believe Maine might have done some damage also."
  12. UA women -- last AE team left in the NCAA's!
  13. That last offensive foul on Shereesha was really the pits! Glad the team came back without her to win it!
  14. At least UA led the entire first quarter.
  15. Once again, UA's men's basketball team is playing longer into the season that LCC's squad. How many years in a row has this trend been happening now?
  16. Can you summarize the article for us? Thanks.
  17. When UA, along with Binghamton and Stony Brook, joined the America East, there was a little grumbling among the non-SUNY schools about adding us. We were going to bring down the general level of the conference. With Stony Brook's win this afternoon, the SUNY schools have won BOTH the men's and women's tournaments four years in a row.
  18. Someone on the AE board mentioned that the crowd at SEFCU was very active. The writer also said Maine had a good representative group at the game. Anyone else on this board have assessments of the crowd and atmosphere. Great win by the Lady Danes, and they keep the home game winning streak alive. Also, congratulations to Maine for putting up a great fight.
  19. Big questions for the team next year. How many will transfer out, and how many new guys come in?
  20. Women trounce host Binghamton 79-43 to advance to the final game versus Maine at SEFCU.
  21. Final score in women's game tonight versus UVM at Binghamton: UA 95 UVM 43.
  22. In this discussion of SEFCU or the TUC, I would not go to the latter. I go to games to see them, and most of the seating at the TUC is horrible. SEFCU hardly has a poor seat.
