  1. Positive: I like the ability to see games almost live on TV now. I don't live close to the Capital District, so TV is my best option. Negative: The loss of the home winning streak. Although I have very sentimental attachment to the teams of the early-mid 1970's when the Danes went on a 24-25 home game winning streak, I really wanted the newer teams to break that record. I'm disappointed the most recent streak didn't come to an end by a team of the SBU or VCU caliber.
  2. I lived in the middle of Dutchess County during the Tawana Brawley fiasco. Justice still has not been done there to resolve the whole situation. The courts need to make a statement in this case to prevent other similar incidents.
  3. Cremo gets both Rookie of the Year and the Sixth Man Awards.
  4. I saw those same numbers. I can't imagine that after how UA pasted Hartford this afternoon that we will slip that much against Maine's RPI.
  5. Just got my answer from the AE.com website: "With @UAlbanyWBB & @BlackBearsWBB tied for the top-seed, we will need to wait until the RPI is released later tonight for the tiebreak."
  6. Now that the whole conference schedule is about to finish, when will the conference tournament seedings be announced?
  7. Not sure which brand would be more tasteless, controversial or inflammatory. I suppose the second is just asking to get yourself thrown out of the arena, especially after the last few weeks. In either case, it all boils down (to being a) sap.
  8. I don't think as a parent I could ever name my kid that way, especially with all the attention he causes on the court with his antics. I'd go with a more conventional name like Flap-Jack.
  9. With Stony Brook's loss to UVM tonight (at home, no less), SBU has a one-game lead in the conference standings. UA's close losses to Maine and UNH now loom larger. If SBU and UA had both ended up with 14-2 conference records, which team would have had the home court advantage throughout the tournament?
  10. Thanks for the series numbers. I didn't know we were that close in this rivalry.
  11. We seem to have problems with Drexel. Glad to see we got the win today. What is our record against that team?
  12. I wasn't able to watch much of the game, but I was surprised that Cremo fouled out.
  13. I thought tonight was going to be much more difficult. Maybe the team is now hitting its stride.
  14. I'm so happy to hear that SEFCU is drawing large numbers of enthusiastic fans this year. I don't hear much from fans of other conference teams about the difficulty of playing at UA, but I imagine coaches of other teams instruct their players on the hostile environment.
  15. Anyone know how the women did down on the Island tonight?
  16. I think Maine feels disappointed in a different way. They'll probably remember it as a Valentine's Day Massacre.
  17. Did they show it? No, in fact when I tried to watch on ESPN3 there were 'Technical Difficulties', all I could get was the live stats. When I first began watching the game, I received the same error message. Eventually, the feed came through.
  18. Chance on Wednesday to even it all out a bit. If UA plays with the same fire as it did today and SBU plays as poorly as it did today, we have a chance.
  19. Roger Wyland said the last time UA reached 100 points was back in 2000 against a non Division I team.
  20. Tough game, missed a lot of short shots, Richards and Carter missing a lot of time with 4 fouls each. One BU player fouled out. Big run in the fourth quarter, then hung on for a 6-point win. The score on the ESON site showed UA losing to Binghamton 75-40. Now ESPN is showing that UA beat the Binghamton women 64-58. Further, it shows UA's conference record as 11-0. Binghamton's AE record is listed as 5-6.
  21. Tough game, missed a lot of short shots, Richards and Carter missing a lot of time with 4 fouls each. One BU player fouled out. Big run in the fourth quarter, then hung on for a 6-point win. The score on the ESON site showed UA losing to Binghamton 75-40. 75-40 was the score of Albany's win at UVM Saturday. Your score is a lot better. Thanks for posting the reasons why the team lost tonight.
  22. Tough game, missed a lot of short shots, Richards and Carter missing a lot of time with 4 fouls each. One BU player fouled out. Big run in the fourth quarter, then hung on for a 6-point win. The score on the ESON site showed UA losing to Binghamton 75-40.
  23. What happened with the women's team tonight?!
  24. We need to focus on Thursday... Going to be really tough game. Win Thursday and #2 seed is going to be hard to lose. That's what's on the line. Yes, UNH is going to be a handful. In the meantime, I'm just gonna sit back and enjoy yet another 20-win season.
