  1. NJIT's only other home loss was to UMass-Lowell.
  2. Whew! Beat a good team that was 9-1 at home. Great win! (Thanks again for the updates, MsGDG.)
  3. My score and time left agree with yours. Thanks for the updates.
  4. What's the real score now? ESPN has 8:07 left, and UA ahead 52-50. Another source has about 9 minutes left with NJIT ahead 52-48. Doesn't make sense.
  5. Via the Internet, I have 43-37 UA with about 14½ left.
  6. There were only five fouls called in the first half. It will be interesting to see how the players react to this, and how many calls the refs make in the second half.
  7. I don't think I want to play UNH in the tournament.
  8. What was the attendance tonight? Did the crowd intimidate the Danes much?
  9. I'm afraid of this game. UA didn't beat Binghamton by that much in our house last time.
  10. You could hear them talking, not what they were saying, on the ESPN3 broadcast. Seemed cordial but maybe not. Thanks.
  11. I'm glad we bit the bullet on that one. Anyone know what Herrion said to Brown at the conclusion of the game. Herrion looked a little animated.
  12. Outrebounded by only 1, a defensive sort.
  13. Horrible disease, but now her suffering is over. I am so glad her son could be at her side. My condolences to the whole family.
  14. All the AE games tonight are low scores. So far, the away team is also leading in all four contests.
  15. UA men and women both win tonight, and each coach earns his/her 200th career victory.
  16. The TU says since 2006-07. Jamar days.
  17. Good game. Now we can't say that we can't win at Lowell in Division I times.
  18. UA is fortunate to have great teams in almost every sport. For me, it's hard to believe the progress that the school has made since it went DI just 15 years ago. It has been a pleasure to read all the comments on this topic just over today. I find some comments a little distressing, but if it's reality in any of the fans' minds here, then it has validity. Regarding school spirit, it comes and goes. Not so many years ago when the UA men's basketball team won the season crown and we were going to host the championship game against Vermont, I was never prouder of this school's spirit. To have hundreds of students waiting up to two days before tickets became available for that game signified a huge shift in spirit. Where else would you be able to find such a high level of interest? Only at the top, top schools. I wish we could recreate that spirit.
  19. Yoo-hoo! Glad to get out of there alive!
  20. I remember the crowd at around 7,500, and Pepsi Arena management putting our band in the upper level. Looking it up it was on 12/2/2001, five days after the first Division I $iena game, and we only lost by 26. UAalum, Thanks for the actual report on the Syracuse game we hosted at the TUC. It would be great if we could add seats to SEFCU. I think we could pretty much fill it for the Big Purple Growl and maybe a couple other games. The one thing it has going for it over the TUC is the quality of the seats. Six thousand seats at SEFCU would just about equal the number of quality seats at the TUC.
  21. Quite a number of years ago UA had a 5-year contract with Syracuse. We were allowed to host the contest one year, and that game was held at the TUC. If I recall correctly, the crowd of 10,000 was very partisan for Syracuse. Maybe for that reason UA is reticent about holding another game down there. On the other hand, our situation has vastly improved since those times.
  22. I'm sure it's to accommodate their huge number of season ticket holders.
  23. We're not the same team we were in 2001 by any long shot. It's been quite a long time since we ended a game with only four men on the court. Our program has grown up, and not it's time for their program and their fans to do the same thing. I would pay big money to see their fans, particularly their season ticket holders, ejected from their ringside seats and see our fans take their place. Will I live long enough to see it done?
