I mean I don't know how much of yearly budget goes to the program, but to me if it brings sound academic students to the school, to me why get rid of it. If you look at the teams roster, it is mostly made up of international students. As a school, the team is doing recruiting on the international level as well. At the same time, Gordon Graham seems to be making strides with the program.

MAAC has 9 teams for women's tennis. Considering we play women's golf w/ them, it would make sense.

I know other thread mentioned Hartford starting a women's LAX program and getting rid of tennis. It seems UMBC is also getting rid of tennis. Is the AE completely done with the sport and could UA possible drop it? http://www.umbcretrievers.com/sports/general/Tennis_General Very interesting. If this is official, AE would have only 3 programs with Women's Tennis (Stony Brook, Binghamton and UA...NJIT is a associate member for the sport, but they should be leaving with new conference affiliation).

what is upsetting to me is we are moving backwards, not forwards. We aren't even coming close to competing.

it's unbelievable how we can't stand football right now. Like we hate everything about this program right now except for the facility.

There are 2 things I want to see done right away... 1) GET A DAMN 2015 WEBSITE!!!!!!! (use this money and the goals of branding and communicating and get us a site this university deserves) 2) Scoreboard for SEFCU...these programs deserve it. After that, I'll take DanesRGood's approach and be a little conservative and see what other funds state gives.

I mean from a logistics and wanting to get alumni, fans out etc...I would think you would try and first get games vs... UConn, UMass, Syracuse, Rutgers, Army, Boston College, Temple and maybe Penn State... I would think Army could be the easiest get for UA, as they have no problem facing FCS schools (play 1 or 2 a year). Buffalo was a good play for UAlbany, as it is in NY and a SUNY school. If they are willing to go to Pitt, would love to see them jump and play an Ohio team (not Ohio St...I can't take them losing to that tool Urban Meyer)

B9 and I doing our annual game w/ the wifies (and B9's future dane)...excited about this one. Based on James Madison performance, this should be a game we win.

It's funny...I'm a big Tennessee fan...and the similarities to this program and their program is kinda funny.

JMU is in another class...but the way the D played today, even being oversized, this team can compete with anyone. It's a matter of the offense.

I will say, our D was not the problem...when you force 5 turnovers, you should win. JMU's size killed us when the offense couldn't do anything. That's when they destroyed us. You got a nice 2 headed monster, but you need more from the WR core and the QB. Again...when the D produces 5 turnovers, you should be winning games.
