so the America Beasts guys on twitter are going to donate .24 cents (Hooley's # times 2) for every retweet of Colon Cancer profile pic. They wanted to donate something in her memory. They are going to do it during the game today.

I mean words can't describe this. It's beyond sad to hear this news. She raised an amazing son academically and athletically. Despite the sadness, it was and most likely will still be amazing how the UAlbany community, basketball program and athletic department truly came together during these terrible events. I don't know if Peter ever looks at this board, but if he does, he should know that he just didn't lose a parent today...all of UAlbany and the purple family lost a parent today. And that goes for Peter and anyone else who ever has to deal with the crap disease.

I feel the entire thing, besides our website which all know, is obsolete at this point. With AE-TV, besides football, the entire thing is pretty useless. Not sure how they could make serious money off it. I have pretty much been able to watch every AE game for basketball this year. Thoughts opinions. CAN WE PLEASE UPGRADE OUR 2005 STYLE WEBSITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Was thinking about this. Are their certain numbers for some of our programs that should be retired. I know Jamar is the only one we officially have, however I feel with the success of many of our programs, certain numbers for programs should be retired and banners should be put up. I know the school has a Hall of Fame, however I feel certain players recently certainly deserve it. My thoughts: Football: 265 or 256 (take your pick) - Total career wins for Bob Ford, be it total as a coach or total at UAlbany. Lacrosse: 2, 4, 9 - Miles and Lyle Thompson, do we really need to say why. 9 for Merrick Thomson, who I think was the key player for UAlbany's 2000's run. Women's Basketball: 5 or 25 - Richards when she leaves next year and Henry, as she was so vital to the change in culture for the program. Thoughts and or opinions? Missing people

I GOT IT! boom! Wife nailed it on the first night of Hanukkah. The fabric is awesome. Mine has Wilson on the back with the # also. Ironed on name and numbers along with UAlbany, but it's so comfortable and fits like a glove. I'm talking sleep in with no shirt underneath comfy. Excellent work by the company. Highly recommend!

I mean let's be honest here...Siena is traveling to Radford, who have been to less NCAA Tournaments and fit only 3k into their arena. What's the difference if they play a "road game" 5 miles down the road, in which they can still get fans into the game instead of going to Radford. Years they play SEFCU they can get a "bigger name" to come to TU if it makes them happy. I mean the answer to this problem is so simple! Again...they have this garbage mentality of "we are better than you" in every idea of athletics...which we have continuously put to shame in the last decade.

my question is do many teams wanna play a non-conference rival twice in a season? Florida doesn't play FSU twice a year. I don't see why they don't just switch it off every other year. Simple and easy. Give 1k tickets to away team every year and call it a day.

the fact is they play teams from our conference on the road...period...END OF STORY! If you have a rivalry w/ a school, you switch it up. Many programs in college football and basketball have rivalries w/ other schools that have smaller facilities. Your telling me over a 10 year contract, you can't man-up and play 5 road games at SEFCU Arena? Again, to me it goes back to the idea of "we are better than you", and that mentality has been put to shame in basketball and almost every other sport over the past decade. So if they don't wanna do it, screw them!

I am in agreement. To make the move for basketball reason alone is silly. As jeff stated, we already are in the conference for football. That alone is the big money maker. We compete in one of the top lacrosse conferences in the country and in the non-profit sports, we have just been as equal, heck better, than CAA programs. Even more important AE teams are competing nationally in those sports.

Would you say 5.3k is a reasonable avg coming off a 1 win season? However, looking at the stats from last year, we averaged less, but had more fans show up. So seems like a mix bag. However, we seems to all agree this has got to be the main focus of our new AD.
