  1. Had to post this after reading it. UNREAL WHAT WE THE SCHOOL HAD TO DO FOR A REALLY SOLID SMALL STADIUM... http://espn.go.com/dallas/story/_/id/8323104/allen-texas-high-school-ready-unveils-60m-football-facility
  2. hey guys I appreciate the support with our coverage... the sad thing is, the station is student run, and the sport department is students... I am in grad school and monday nights I have class till 8 pm. The department is small, and we have to arrange our schedules the best we can. I wanted to do the game, the fact is as students, especially me as a grad student, I can only do my best. I give up my vacations to travel for basketball...so, you got to give me some props. We will be doing the game on Friday vs. Maine, and most likely all the AE Tournament.
  3. per the UConn website, the game will be shown on FSNY.

  10. This letter was sent to students this afternoon: Campus Safety Notification To: University at Albany Student Community From: Susan Herbst, Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs Date: October 16, 2006 Two University at Albany students were arrested this morning by University at Albany police in connection with an alleged sexual assault of a University student that reportedly took place on campus in a residence hall early Sunday morning. The alleged victim was acquainted with the accused. The arrested students, both freshmen and members of the University at Albany football team, are currently being held in the Albany County jail. They have been suspended from the University and the football team pending the outcome of the investigation. The University's priority is to allow the university police to conduct a full and thorough investigation in a timely manner. We are also offering our support to this young woman and her extended circle of friends and family. Section meetings are being held this evening on Indian and State Quads to address issues of personal safety, emphasizing strategies for the prevention of sexual assault. As part of the University's ongoing prevention efforts regarding acquaintance rape and sexual assault, I encourage each of you to please take the following safety precautions: * Recognize that using alcohol or drugs greatly increases your risk of being involved in a sexual assault or other regrettable sexual encounter. * Avoid being separated from your friends. Be cautious about accepting rides or invitations from people you don't know well. * If possible, keep a cell phone handy in case of emergency. Call 911 from on or off campus if you need assistance. Use good judgment and common sense regarding your safety. Should you be victimized, please call 911 as soon as possible. Please know, as well, that the University has services available to assist victims of sexual assault. For a coordinated response, call Christine Bouchard, Associate Vice President for Student Success, at 956-8140 or the Counseling Center at 442-5800. -------- This is being reported by ESPN.com: http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=2628282
  11. Bob Murphy confirmed it as well. I mean what can the AD department do. After the Duke situation, they sat down with these teams and told them to stay away from it. Just a bad mistake by them, but you cant fault the AD in this. I will leave everything to the law, and let that choose guilt or innocence...but what can you say
  12. UALBANY WINS, CENTRAL GOES DOWN AND CHANCES OF TITLE SEEM TO BE OUT THE WINDOW, SB AND MORRIS WINS, MONMOUTH WINS AND STAYS IN THE HUNT... TYPICAL NEC FOOTBALL... UAlbany very much alive... GOTTA LOVE NEC FOOTBALL
  13. on the website. Doing eight games in those two months.
  14. Just outside the official Top 20, right behind...BOSTON How big is the game homecoming weekend going to be now...wow EVEN BIGGER, NEXT SUNDAY AGAINST THE #1 RANKED TERRIPANS IN MARYLAND
  15. this season is just about done...offense cant do anything, special teams playing terrible...SB about to score another TD
  16. Great Danes received votes to put them as the #24 team in the country. However, in FH, they only rank the Top 20. The fact is, the Danes still have a wicked schedule to play, against Boston and then against the #1 ranked team Maryland at Maryland. I have to say, 9-3 with the schedule they have played so far, and still have to play, they are in pretty good shape. The fact that 2 of the three losses were to Top 15 teams, and they you beat a Top 15 team, man, you gotta be impressed. I would think if they were 10-2 and didnt lose to Holy Cross, they would be in that Top 20. Add to the fact they play only 6 home games out of 17 matches this year.
  17. despite the loss to Cornell, the latest polls have UAlbany right outside of the Top 25. 1 or 2 victories coupled with a loss from a low ranking top 25 could push them back in. Central Connecticut State snuck back in, and San Diego made it into the Top 25. Great Danes win out, they should finish in the Top 25. Maybe the playoffs arent a long shot.
