side notes - CCS should be mid-major #1 we should have gotten a little more votes, but if you beat CCS, i think the pollsters cant ignore you any longer. At this point, to see our names on the list, you gotta be happy. Winner next week to me goes/stays in the top 25, gets the mid-major #1 ranking, and the favorite to win the NEC title WHEN THE HECK WAS THE LAST TIME A FOOTBALL GAME WAS WORTH THAT MUCH 4 GAMES IN...HELL, LET ALONE AT ALL?

Yes...pretty much the same as the one earlier in the summer, but more formal. None of the big political figures were there (happy) as it was more of a UAlbany type of thing. Chancellor of Vanderbilt, President of Utah St and professor he worked with at Florida and NC State were there. Interesting side story that came up - when Hall was named President of Utah St, he went on a campaign to milk a cow in all 29 counties of Utah (he was succesful) Was very good. His wife did not speak.

Ok, I am going to be writing an something for the wCDB Sports Blog and maybe for the ASP to get published, so I am writing a thing on the Top 5 Football Victories in the Programs History. Here is the list I have come up with with a quick explanation of why: 1) at Delaware - 9/16/06 - do we even have to explain? Full scholarship vs. non-scholarship against a a National Championship team three years ago in their house in front of the largest attendence to see a UA football game. 2) at Lehigh - 9/2/06 - UAlbany finally knocks off the Patriot League after trying for years. Victory over a full-scholarship program. 3) vs Duquesne - 11/23/02 - UAlbany's first victory over a top 25 I-AA program. Home field victory of the ECAC Classic/ 4) vs Monmouth - 11/16/02 - UAlbany knocks off Monmouth to win their first ever NEC Conference title and first title since joining Division I football. T5) at CCS - 9/4/99 - first victory for Great Danes in D-I-AA Football. vs Stony Brook - 9/22/73 - first victory as a varsity program. honorable mention: vs. Plymouth State (11/23/85) - Win the Division III North Championship at. American International (11/22/97) - winning EFC Championship and capping 11-1 season. vs American International (11/21/98) - winning EFC Championship capping a 10-1 season and its final victory at D II Football before jumping to Division I-AA. TIME TO DEBATE...THOUGHTS AND OPINIONS?

i think he is Joe Patterno status when it comes to him coaching... he is here, no matter what record, for as long as he wants to be -
Went to my first ever field hockey game tonight. Must say it is something new, but very interesting. Learning the rules as it went along. Colgate looked terrible and the Danes looked solid. I cant compare a Top 25 team to them, but they looked like one tonight if i had to guess. may have to catch a few more this year.

Few reports from other papers around the country...the Columbus dispatch had a tidbit very interesting on Hall. I put three articles from the Deseret Morning News, cause it has a lot on insite on what he did of Utah State when he was there: Columbus Dispact Article Deseret Morning News #1 Deseret Morning News #2 Salt Lake Tribune Deseret Morning News #3 Gainsville Sun

Both the UAlbany Home Page and the UAlbany Athletics websites have stuff up already.

i know it is a silly time to be talking about this, but i think every single team should wear a think on their jersey's that say "KH" on it. At the same time, there should be an open seat left in the RACC in memorial of him. He was there every game. Also, i have to say that i think that Utah St / UAlbany match-up we believe will happen is going to be a very emotional game now. I actually remember two years ago when the LAX team won the AE, he was on the field, and gave one hell of a victory speech to them...man. i cant even describe the sadness
