  1. He can always go out-of-pocket and keep the politics out of it.- haggyland

"The State University of New York supports Governor Cuomo's executive order banning all non-essential travel to the state of Indiana, and we will instruct our campuses to immediately review any existing travel plans by faculty and staff," SUNY chancellor Nancy Zimpher said in a statement.

"As the public university system of New York State, SUNY supports all measures to combat discrimination. I commend Governor Cuomo on taking this important stand on behalf of all New Yorkers." - TU

Does anyone really think it's wise to circumnavigate the ruling by paying your own way and going and then wait to see what the political consequences are??????

  2. Pikiell gets a 314,000 base plus $50,000 (paid with his base in 26 installments) annually for representing the college so it is actually $364,000

DI wins and NCAA appearances over past 3 Years

    SBU 68 wins 0 NCAAs

    UA 67 wins 3 NCAAs

    UVM 60 wins 0 NCAAS

  3. In an ugly effort like last night it sometimes easy not to notice key contributions!!!!

I thought the 5 points Anders Haas gave us were significant (especially in a close game), he came off the bench and in 8 minutes got up six shots, which is asserting ones self.

I also thought we got solid play out of Levan in his 11 minutes in the 1st half while Puk was sitting with two fouls. He was a presence inside with 2 reb, a block and a steal and for the 1st time in awhile he didn't seem to have his shoulder brace on!

Foul shooting was super again - 23 of 27 with 1 miss an intentional miss by Puk on the last FT with .04 sec. According to ESPN stats we are now #2 in FT shooting in DI Hoop

  4. What's disappointing is that we have 1 win against a team with a winning record - Marist (and they didn't have their best player).

Providence is a name team but they are 5-6 and their 5 wins have come against teams with a combined record of 14-45.

We will have a cake walk in conference the only other team with a winning record is Stony Brook (8-4) but their strength of schedule is 301. Their 8 wins came against teams with combined records of 19-74.

We should get to the 25 win mark but it may still hurt our seeding in the NCAAs, I was hoping for a 10 seed - now we may be lucky to garner a 13 or 14.

The good thing is that the ladies will surely be dancing!!!
