Hofstra by two touchdowns. UA is good but for perspective they were beat soundly by Towson last year and Towson will be a doormat in the A-10 this year.

 

That said, stranger things have happened.

UA has a lot of Long Island kids that will have family and friends at the game...

I really don't know how good Albany is. They have great talent and their D will be outstanding. As Dane 96 has stated they are breaking in a new backfield which will mean critical but hopefully not disasterous T/O's. Hopefully not too many.

 

On the other hand, Hofstra appears on paper to be awful. They are snake bit with injuries, but to a man they still have superior athletes then we do...FOR NOW!

 

With that being said I am calling for a Thursday night upset special. Neither team will score much and there will be a ton of penalties and T/O's. If we can pick up this year where we left off and establish somewhat of a running game Thursday we have a chance. Our D should keep us in the game.

 

 

Albany 15 Hofstra 14....Fordie will go for 2...he did it my last year and we beat Ithaca by the same score the year after they were in the Stagg Bowl

I'd like Albany's chances if they were returning an established QB. Being Bazan's first start and on the road and televised. Hopefully the defense will go wild and prove me wrong.
