After a long & difficult week,  I was just wondering - - - Did the events of the past week change anyone's answer to the question I posed at the beginning of this string?

As much fun as I've had with the anti-$iena stuff on this board (and I'll keep doing it) I'll say this. As our athletics program has grown and been more successful over the past couple of years (commish cup, NCAA appearances, players being drafted by pro leagues) I care less and less about what $iena does outside of our games with them.

 

I'm not saying I'll be rooting for them or paying twice as much for a ticket to go see them (and twice as much for food, and beer, etc) at the Pepsi. But I do think as we have goals for our own program we'll be defined less by what we "hate" and more about where we want our team to go.

The only thing that's changed for me is that I'm disgusted and embarassed. I will always wish Siena's athletic program ill. This is part of who I am.

 

The sentiments expressed by Moderator are the soft creamy words of a misguided Albany fan. Hating Siena isn't half the fun, but it's a great part of the ride.
