UAlbany Beats UMBC

Recommended Posts

Way to go, Danes. For those of you who were not present at the game or do not know the score, UAlbany beat UMBC today, 79-65.

Another first for this season: a victory in the conference tournament!

It looks like most members of the team received a lot of time on the bench. Hopefully, everyone is well rested for Round 2.

Go, Great Danes!

Howdy gents, checking in from Bing. According to people at the tourney Hermenier had a foot injury. We'll probably get the rest of the story in the paper tomorrow. Tough loss for them if he's out again on Sunday.

Nice crowd for Albany tonight lots of fun. Jamar seemed like he was forcing it a bit but came up big with free throws to ice it. Lu was the truth, really impressive tonight. As Olddog said Brown seemed to rotate a lot of players trying to keep everyone fresh. Lu was fantastic but there were contributions from just about everyone. A good showing and hopefully everyone plays a little better tomorrow.

As you can imagine that was the topic of conversation with some Albany fans. The word did get out. Tougher to find info on the lacrosse game. What happened?

Lax was 7-3 at the half. I went to the women's game (63-55 win!) and came back as Siena scored the last goal w 2 1/2 min. to go. So Albany was in control, I imagine the wind took away some of the precision of passing and shooting.
