Albany Wins, Stony Brook loses

Recommended Posts

What are the possible outcomes going into the last two games of the season? If we win the last games, does that gaurentee us a championship or would we share it with Stony Brook if they don't lose another game? If there is a co-champion, how does that work for that game with the Pioneer league?

If Albany wins the last two games, the worst case scenario is a tie for the conference championship, however Stony Brook has the tiebreaker so they would play the PFL champion if they win out.

Here is the bottom line scenerio:

UA must beat RMU and Monmouth to close the season (easier said than done). Monmouth has a stifling D (watched them shut down CCSU today) and RMU is very young...but very talented.

Then, CCSU must wake the F up from their slumber and take down The Brook on the final Saturday of the season.

Luckily that SBU-CCSU game is at Central Conn. Hopefully the Blue Devils can get it going again.

Looking at the conference standings in the paper this morning. You know it's a pretty tough conference when a team (CCSU) that beat a ranked team and has been in the top 25 much of the season is currently in fifth place in the NEC.
