Lacrosse Polls for 4/16/07

Recommended Posts

Albany maintained its position from last week's polls in rankings released today.

In the Nike/Inside Lacrosse media poll, UA stayed in position #3. "Duke moved from No. 4 to No. 2 after knocking off Virginia this weekend."

In the USILA poll, UA continued to place 2nd.

Despite the close game at Yale, UA didn't lose ground in this week's polls.

the planets have aligned in a position to bring the distinct possibilty of a UAlbany win in the Carrier Dome. Syracuse is down more than they have been in years--and The Danes are riding the crest of a big roll. Can't wait for Resetarits and Co. to go up the hill and wreak some purple havoc on the Orange(men).

Let's go Albany!

It is still going to be a tough game.

1 ) Syracuse is playing for their post season life. One more loss and they have no shot of the NCAA tournament due to clinching a losing record.

2) They looked real good against Rutgers on Sunday.

That being said, if the Danes can get the win on Friday night, it will be even sweeter knowing UA was the team to end Syracuse's 20 + year streak of NCAA's.

I agree, but

But Rutgers has only four wins - including one over Dowling, and one over Manhattan

Last year that SU missed the tournament was 1982
