This is what I love about the message board we knew about this almost a week in advance

The Times Union Blog states, in pertinent part, that this "news is more significant because it presumably gives UAlbany two scholarships to offer during the late signing period for next season’s team. With the departure of Knight and Yocum, the Great Danes have 11 scholarships committed of the maximum 13 allowed in Division I." http://blogs.timesunion.com/collegesports/?p=271 (emphasis supplied).

 

Just for clarification, are the 11 current scholarships allocated to the following players? (in alphabetical order)

 

1. Allen

2. Ambrose

3. Anderson

4. Connelly

5. Covington

6. Gifford

7. Iati

8. Lillis

9. Raffa

10. Ross

11. Wilson

The fact that Knight is leaving this year makes for a more balanced recruiting class next season, instead of 5 we'll need 4. Here's to hoping that coach Brown can get some nice talent with the two remaining scholys.

In Knight's case, I have a feeling it was him and not the University's/teams side that didn't make it work. Knight has now transfered three times in three seasons? Damn!
