Saints Drop Non-League Game to Crosstown Rival

April 29, 2008

 

Siena lost a non-conference softball game at UAlbany 7-3 this afternoon. The game was moved from Siena to UAlbany due to poor field conditions and changed from a doubleheader to a single game.

 

I didn't realize that the weather conditions would be so different for campuses located less than ten miles apart...

No more games scheduled between the two programs for the foreseeable future.

September 9th, Women's soccer in Loudonville.

Siena's Women's golf team finished ahead of us in Dartmouth and was ahead in Princeton, last I saw.

Field hockey. Hopefully UA can make it 3 straight years shutting out LCC.

 

Only complaint is the game is scheduled for 3:30 instead of the evening.

Should be a pretty good chance of improving that .889 winning percentage.

As posted by OldDog in the Fall sports thread the volleyball Lady Danes beat the other team in straight sets tonight.

 

Winning percentage for the year at .900.

Looks like it is on to the big showdown in men's basketball on December 6th.

 

Mark, when you write in preparation for that game maybe you should mention that UA is 9-1 so far this year against their rivals....

Nice showing tonight against a team that looks like they peaked last year and has a chance to keep the Siena tradition alive by missing the conference tournament they are hosting. They just need to drop a couple of spots in the standings.

Is there any question as to who has the better overall athletic program? We've made remarkable strides going D1 and for all intents and purposes have left Siena behind.

Men's Lacrosse is next week so I thought it was finally time to update and close the thread (by adding in the men's basketball game).

 

Final tally for 2008: UA 9, Siena 2.
