Very interesting read. Just keeps getting bigger and better.

 

This is great news not just from our perspective at UAlbany but also from a technology perspective. Processors featuring 28nm technology---as opposed to the current 65nm (which my custom-built PC uses) and 90nm technologies found, e.g., in AMD and Intel chips---will allow next-generation processors to run faster while producing less heat and consuming less power.

With Nebraska being the first institution voted out of the AAU there has been a lot of information coming out. Here is one letter the AAU sent to UNL that includes a chart ranking all AAU and non-AAU together by the AAU's important indicators. UA is ranked 86, ahead of some current AAU's but behind many non-AAU's. The AAU protects the identities of all members in the listing, except UNL.
