I hope all of you are right...I'll be honest I didn't start *really* following the football team until the off-season before last year. Just getting into it, but I've been watching college and pro football for years...so...I don't know the history of these coaches or players, etc.

Yeah, if last year is all you are basing it on then I can understand your thoughts because the offense was bad. He has done some very nice things with the offense during his time. He took what I would call above average QBs and made them very good. Hopefully he can continue to do that with CAA talent as he did with NEC talent, which is what Fiacchi is.

Maybe this has been posted already, so apologies if it has . . . but it does fit loosely under "coaching announcements:" K. C. Keeler is the new head coach at Sam Houston State. The publicity about it emphasizes his overall record, at both FCS and D-3. I don't know if he recruited much out of Texas (hasn't most of his coaching been north of the Mason-Dixon Line?), but on the other hand, given the sheer amount of high schools and FCS players in Texas, he would have to be pretty lame not to recruit successfully to an established winning SHS program. Now, in a couple of years, we can hope that UA plays/beats SHS in the playoffs . . . could be feasible -- Stony Brook played SHS a couple of years ago when SB beat us in the last second . . .
