Gallup invited to pre-draft camp

Recommended Posts

Don't forget that the kid went to prep school, meaning he has to be 23 pushing 24 at this point (prep school + five years of college).

Not much upside left in him. For any team that takes a chance on him, what you see is what you get.

Even the best college players in the nation don't always get a shot in Europe, as those teams have restrictions on the number of foreign-born players they can take on. He's definitely not on par with even a sixth man at a top notch school like Duke or UConn.

D2k...you are correct. EJ could never create his own bucket...he is a staight up shooter. As an example of how good you have to be, and why some on the AE board are smoking crack with Taylor C being a first rounder, Ricardo Greer a fantastic guard out of Pitt, is playing in the same league as Todd Cetnar. EJ, at best, will play in England or a Division 2 team in Europe. He is not playing Italy, Greece, Turkey, Germany, Spain, or France first division. He is a terrible defender. Would I want him to shoot for me...heck yeah, but the next level requires solid D and the ability to create your own shot off the dribble.

While I never saw him play for UA, I've seen Gallup play several times on TV (on regional television in the south). He has an excellent perimeter shot. I don't know that he has the skills to play professionally, but he has one of the best pure jump shots that I've seen
