The win, this evening, represents our women's programs second first round win in a NCAA Tournament during the 2022-2023 sports season.  The first being the Field Hockey win over Michigan in Ann Arbor.  So, watch out Denver.

Lastly, I wonder how much elevation and time zone difference came into play.

Once again this proves how much more competitive the ladies athletic teams at UA are.  Why can't Benson get these results with the men's teams too???

This observation is a concern with Benson, further based on my recent conversations with Jon Mueller (Baseball), Dwyane Killings and assistant football coaches, it is not lost on their coaching staff and players.  Perhaps, we should look at this as a half glass full situation, with having competitive WBB, Field Hockey, Women Track & Field, WLAX and Softball.

For what its worth:  traditional power Volleyball has not been to the ncaa's in Benson's tenure and this year did not even make the AmEast tournament for the first time in their DI history; softball also has gone down hill [even though they have a chance today to win champs}; and soccer also not good last couple years. So ALL is NOT rosy in women's programs and still in violation of title IX.

ps. not to take away from ladies lax, but more than likely they would not even be in the ncaa's had sbrook had not jumped to the caa.
