Baseball series with $iena to resume

Siena, UAlbany to renew baseball rivalry

As it stands now, it will be one midweek game in May 2024 at Siena’s Connors Park, though it’s possible the venue could change. Incomplete records show the most recent time the teams met was April 28, 1982,

Rossi - "Whatever happened years ago, it was Albany’s fault.” Sure, blame it on somebody who's been dead 14 years and can't give his side. What an $ienafan.

LOL, why are we playing a game so late in the school, with finals and graduation plus during the day. Next thing you know, the date will be share to those on a need-to-know basis.

wow never realized the two never played each other in the d1 era

Not just D-I, it will be FORTY-TWO years since the last game.

"Rossi refused to play the Great Danes after, according to him, a UAlbany athletic administrator ended the rivalry in the 1980s. Rossi said the administrator, Joe Garcia, told Rossi, “We don’t need you,” without further explanation."

Who thinks what really happened was $iena wanted all the games at their place, and Garcia said "We don't need your s-hi-t" without further explanation?

I could almost give rossi a pass for 1982 to 2002 although i don't buy his bs explanation.  However Since 2002 this game would have been a natural to have been played at ValleyCats stadium. It has lights and is far better than either campus ballpark.
