  1. A game at Providence next year? According to John Rooke there will be.
  2. That's awesome. Congrats Sarge!
  3. Damn. Syracuse is gone thanks to Bryant. So now New York's College Team is...
  4. Amazing finish to the first game. Snow with a walk-off home run in the bottom of the 10.
  5. Hey congrats! If you're thinking about names how about Lyle, Miles or Ty?
  6. http://www.cbsnews.com/news/three-lacrosse-players-dominate-sport-their-ancestors-created/ From opening the new football stadium last fall to all the NCAA tournament appearances over the winter and now the Thompsons. This has been a helluva good year for UA.
  7. Or...maybe the game won't be on New Year's Eve. http://blog.timesunion.com/collegesports/siena-ualbany-trying-to-avoid-new-years-eve-date/18062/
  8. Cremo earned the state player of the year honors the other day.http://blog.timesunion.com/sidelines/2014/05/01/state-boys-basketball-all-stars-released-3/
  9. I had thought Millinghaus might end up at Iona for some reason. Instead he's headed to Southeast Louisiana.
  10. I think he's been our Australia connection so I'd hate to see him go but hopefully he's getting an opportunity for something better. He kind of fits the Maine HC search profile.
  11. Missed this One Bid Wonders story on Peters before.
  12. Story on NYC Hoops talks about injuries and some insight into next year.
  13. Considering all the new players we're bringing in having this game later in the season probably helps us. Gives our news guys time to gel a little. That time and day isn't going to help attendance at all though.
  14. Story on Sanders when he committed to Tulane out of high School. He had some pretty good offers in addition to Tulane and sounds like a guy who will fit in well to our system.
  15. The reward for the #1 seed is to play the #4 seed on their home field - Albany @ Stony Brook. It's a good thing we're not the kind of school that resorts to complaining about stuff like that...
  16. Will be played on New Year's Eve at 2 PM? Blech.
  17. It doesn't look good. I kind of thought there might be a statement if this class is complete. Wondering if it is.
  18. Depending on Odunsi's status, this would put us at the scholarship max. Seven new players coming in next year. In general, I like the four year players because they seem to set the culture of the program and it's fun to watch them develop over their careers. That said, we've done well with juco players the past couple of years. DJ and Gary Johnson have been two of the best since Jason Siggers. If we have a couple more players like that in Singletary and Sanders I'd be pretty happy.
  19. Darius Stokes is leaving Iowa and fits that description.
  20. According to the little blue bird Coach Brown is working on a grad school transfer " BCS level transfer wing."
  21. Hopefully he gets a shot somewhere. Seems like he would be a good head coach and I thought he would have gotten a chance by now. It's probably a lot easier to get a head coaching job after being an assistant at a BCS school than it is at a smaller school.
  22. I guess I thought we'd bring in another center with the last scholarship. We're losing two centers- Puk and Shengalia plus two big forwards- Weigmann and Luke but only bringing in one center - Peters and one forward - McKay. I'd have to think we're still bringing in another big guy but who knows. As far as the PG spot, I expect Mike Wells to compete for that spot right away. Usually the prep school guys are the ones most prepared for the college game.
