  1. Nice! Another Minnesota player along with Wheeler Baker. He had a nice list of competing schools on VC and as DRG said, we can use a big guy. KYLE MCKINLEY - 2015 - PF - NET GAIN SPORTS McKinley is a tough forward on the interior who can score from the block or do some work facing up in the short-range. He rebounds the ball well on both ends of the floor and creates disruptions for opponents on the other end with his 6-10 frame and length. His overall skill-set is still developing, but he is really becoming a go-to player inside. - See more at: http://www.ny2lasports.com/article_one.aspx?articleid=2065#sthash.Ur8KImSj.dpuf
  2. According to the ESPN stats, Stony Brook threw 10 passes total in that game. 3-10 for 26 yards with 1 INT were the passing numbers.
  3. Next week's opponent, URI, is having the woodshed dropped on them by Fordham. I was watching that game for a while until it wasn't a game anymore. 40-0 in the third.
  4. One Bid Wonders has a good if unlikely retrospective on former Great Dane Chris Wyatt. OBW remembers Wyatt for his dunks, I remember him for tossing Justin Rowe of Maine around on the baseline while going for a loose ball. http://www.onebidwon...ks-all-over-bu/
  5. Sounds like some A10 schools got involved and moved him out of our reach.
  6. According to Adam Finkelstein, Mayo just finished up a visit with us. Kyle McKinley and Dan Jech will be visiting over the next week.
  7. It's a small sample size but Omar is first in the conference in rushing so far.
  8. Our defense hasn't given up a score in six quarters. Our offense was better than last week. I will take consistent improvement going into an off week. Two weeks to think about getting that first conference win @URI.
  9. I liked throwing it down the field there. Showed some killer instinct we haven't seen in a while.
  10. They must have heard you. That was a nice looking drive right there.
  11. Aside from winning dramatically, the positives I saw were what Coach Gattuso preaches: -fewer penalties than HC -no turnovers
  12. We are going to win games in the 4th quarter on toughness and guts. And luck. Crazy, motherflippin luck.
  13. Stony Brook is in a tussle with Bryant in their home opener tonight. They're down to the Bulldogs 13-7 with under 2 minutes in the 4th.
  14. Gontarek was the first guy Coach Gattuso talked about and now I see why. Projected as starter and also kickoffs and punt returns as a true freshman. Surprised not to see Presley Beauvais on the depth chart anywhere. He had some productive games last year.
  15. One more game. At Niagara on Dec. 30th - http://www.purpleeag...spx?path=mbball
  16. You should know better than that by now... I should. Morally wrong maybe but factually correct.
  17. Looks like we also have a visit lined up in Sept. for Jamir Andrews, a 6'3 guard. His other visits are Bowling Green and Washington State. Pretty good company to be recruiting with.
  18. I was hoping Haggy was wrong. That stinks. I know some people who went to the women's game just to see her play.
  19. Plus the game at the TUC on Dec. 13th. We should still have a couple more OOC games I would guess. We usually have 12 or so.
  20. Good news on McKinley, he will be visiting in September. Hopefully he commits so I can start working on some Mount McKinley shirts for next year.
  21. A few more games announced today: home game vs. the Q. Nov. 22 at St. Francis (PA) Dec. 6th at Bucknell Dec. 8th. A long weekend in Altoona?
  22. We haven't announced it yet but they have. Women @ Marist.
  23. The NCAA vote was held today and the Big 5 conferences seem to have what they wanted - http://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball/writer/jon-solomon/24626578/power-5-conferences-get-lower-voting-threshold-in-ncaa-proposal June Jones, SMU's head coach, thinks the non-Big 5 conferences (American, CUSA, MAC, Mountain West and Sun Belt) should start playing football in the spring so they don't compete with the Big-5.
