  1. Some video of the marching band up there also. People will probably be in their seats more in the new stadium than they were at University Field. People tended to retreat in the PE Building at halftime there. This will be a whole new experience.
  2. Surprised mostly because there are 8 freshman on a 13 woman roster and no seniors. I guess when you win 5 titles in a row you get that kind of respect.
  3. Thanks 06. I've deleted some, fixed a few and added a couple new ones. If you see anything else that's wrong or anything you wanted just let me know.
  4. True. The Boston U and NEC forums can come down now too.
  5. Interesting story. He was originally committed to Cleveland State before going to UW-Whitewater.
  6. Late to the party on the Stire commitment. I like having local players on the roster. Makes it more interesting for local fans and maybe help a little with attendance. Maybe will add a little more spice to the Siena game with some local players on both sides. Have to check out some CBA games this year.
  7. Lions Coach Jim Schwartz: On LB Jon Morgan: "He's really smart. I think that's probably been the number one thing that has stood out about him. He's very assignment-sound and a great communicator. When the game came on, he was around the ball and made plays. He didn't get a lot of reps, but he was very productive in the reps that he got. Taking command and executing the scheme are both very important for linebackers. It's a moving world and there are a lot of things going on. He showed very well in his first action."
  8. Hmmm...Willem Brandwijk has got a Will Brand thing going on. Nice. Some pretty tough recruiting competition. Hopefully Denmark becomes the new Australia.
  9. If the BCS schools were to split from FBS then I don't see a huge difference between non-BCS FBS schools and FCS. They might as well be all in one division.
  10. Stopped short of expectations for a national championship? I like the way this is headed. BTW we've offered a scholarship to Heather Forster, Julie's sister, who will be a high school junior this year.
  11. Plus Rowley for next year? Not sure how that's working with the previous commitments. Seems like we would need a really need a center in the 2014 class. Speaking of which, Nate Gehring who it looks like we offered, as gotten offers from Kent State and Pepperdine recently.
  12. This is a big factor I think Plus the UAlbany logo at the 50 yard line would be upside down if shot from the visitors side. Usually they have some roaming cameras that shoot from the end zone that hopefully will get the home side seats. What I want is a shot from a blimp!

Here's last year's senior class including players who transferred out. The two guys who made this March so much fun are, of course, the lowest ranked guys.
  14. Did Siena want to quit while they were ahead after winning last year? We have zero OOC home matches now.
  15. We could but in the height of summer, I'm much more inclined to drink a beer on the back deck than resigning anything. I'm kinda lazy that way.
  16. Big Purple Fans? It's the 10 year anniversary of BPF so it'd be nice to something big. Just not quite that big. How about Billy Fuccillo? I think he played football at Syracuse. That would be...HUGE.
  17. The Rowleys must learn that move in the cradle. Nice looking assist too before that play.
  18. I'd like more home OOC games also. I'm not sure it can happen the way we schedule now. We generally have 13 games, two of which are generally guarantee road games aganist high majors plus the Siena game which is a road game so we're starting off every year with 3 of 13 games on the road. The remaning 10 are home and home series against other mid-majors so we'll get 4-6 homes games there. I'd like Syracuse's schedule with 90% of the games at home, I just don't see how it' possible.
  19. Millionaire's Row is a little different. I always thought the ticket office put the best looking alum on Millionaire's Row since they get more face time on TV and it would look better. Note: I don't sit in Millionaire's Row. We have tickets further back in Thousandaire's Row.
  20. Would have made for a nice trip if both the games in Pittsburgh could have been scheduled for the same weekend. That's asking a lot I'm sure. I'd like to have seen Mike Muscala play in person but I'm glad he'll be on an NBA roster and not on Bucknell's this season. That'll still be a tough game.
  21. Non Con schedule is out 2013-14 UAlbany Men’s Basketball Non-Conference Schedule Nov. 8 - at Siena Nov. 12 - NJIT Nov. 16 - at Quinnipiac Nov. 20 - at Duquesne Nov. 23 - Bucknell Nov. 26 - at Rider Dec. 1 - at NJIT Dec. 4 - at Holy Cross Dec. 10 - at Brown Dec. 14 - Colgate Dec. 20 - Yale Dec. 23 - at Drake Dec. 31 - at Pitt Also, the women will be playing @Duke this year according to Duke's schedule.
  22. I was confused by the Haas signing at the time but it makes sense it Fulton isn't coming. I like that we have a lot of potential PGs. It'll be interesting to see who ends up running this team. More bigger wing players than I remember having on a roster in a while.
  23. Been away for a bit so this is late. Just saw that Brent Wilson was named head coach at Sullivan County CC, Will Brown's old school. Congrats to him on his first head coaching job.
  24. I was wondering the same thing but I have no answers. I will say this will add a little spice to the Albany/Siena game for the next couple of years.
