  1. NC has conference games just 5 days away so I guarantee you that coach is working them to the bone. They have dead legs and we surprise them and steal a win!
  2. Tough road trip to a very good NC team. Ladies a bit erratic but still talented enough to pull the upset.
  3. Tough road trip to a very good NC team. Ladies a bit erratic but still talented enough to pull the upset.
  4. A battle tested Niagara team will be hungry for a win. Young team, what happened that had all the transfers out of the program last year?
  5. Having worked on this campus in a couple of roles I think there is an institutional resistance, even resentment to athletics that will take an other 10 years to overcome. From the deans down to the RA's, unless there is some great decree fromon high I.e. the Growl, there is no tradition to get students and staff to games. The glacial bureaucracy of the institution is not yet on board. Jones and Benson have never run into this before lol.
  6. New arena on top of SEFCU parking lot with multistory parking garage integrated?? Probably insanely $$$$ but what else, raise the roof on the SEFCU and add corporate boxes?
  7. Great D by Rowley and co. making Gilbert a non factor. Fairfield is a decent team judging by their wins and close losses against common opponents. Did Stire get any time? Baker gave us a great bump in first half while Singletary and Hooley were cold.
  8. Looks like Key to stopping Fairfield is to smother Jr. Marcus Gilbert #14 - will shoot from anywhere and gets to the FT line a lot. A couple of big guys who split time and block a lot of shots. Doesn't look like they score much though. All the guards will launch the 3 ball. Recent close wins at Quin and over Manhattan puts them right in our wheelhouse. Last game loss at Belmont - no shame there as Belmont = 94 RPI. Should be a good game.
  9. Another reason to support WB and past admin - very few problem children (including coaches) and lots to be proud of off the court / field.
  10. Young Rowley playing tough D on Sears - good to see passion out of that guy.
  11. Hooley, after air balling an NBA+ 3pt. shot, is dominating on the drive!
  12. Yale moves so well without the ball. Our D is holding but O is not consistent enough to bridge the gap of 6 - 8 pts.
  13. Watched Vt. vs Yale yesterday. Yale has a similar look as Quin in the very good, long forward Sears and a few good guards who could light up 3 land. Vt. seemed able to drive and got their own good looks. Both teams hustled and Vt. Steidle carried them in the 2nd half.
  14. Woops, better to buy at SEFCU for Fairfield on Monday lol.
  15. Ualbanysports.com or just show up at the SEFCU. Unfortunately you are assured of buying decent seats.
  16. A bit of research and their forward Sears may be a matchup problem. Hope Sam and our squad of Peters, Rowley, Stire (what happened to McKay?) will keep him under wraps.
  17. It will be nice to see how Vt. handles them. A quick look at their line up and we should physically match up with them with an edge to Peters at center for size. They can be long at guard when you they want to. Hopefully a good challenging game!
  18. why were you banned? Also, clack, I have no idea why you post on that board when they just treat you like crap. Bunch of idiots there. Pretty sure lasts nights results are the primary reason for me getting banned. I certainly was less ascerbic than Click, trying to just have fun with game match up comparisons, offer 2 cents on the contract and point out what poor fair weather fans they are going off on Patsos in just second year with one recruiting class ))), yeh, maybe that! No way the contract will be 50 / 50 if we stay at the TUC, although it will have that illusion. If, as I understand is likely, the deal to stay at the TUC dictates that each school prepay for 1/2 tickets and all expenses, then that means to have a 50 / 50 split we have to fill those seats and perhaps even fill a minimal sponsorship quota to cover marketing ... . So now we have to fill 5k -6k seats to get our pay day and dignity (as fans) lol. Pretty easy for Siena but not so much for us. So, if I am doing the accounting on this, I'm planning on 3 years of losses before we can those butts in paying seats. SEFCU looks much better $wise in that analysis, at least short term. When we have 3k - 4k season ticket holders then make the TUC jump. And while Benson may ask WB what he would like out of courtesy, his job is $ baby and that alone will drive negoaiations IMO.
  19. I have the honor of being banned from the Siena forum! The Union / RPI comparison is apt. Union being National Champions still go to RPI and play without insisting their STH get preferred seating.
  20. My understanding isnthat each school would prepurchase half tickets for "their" side of the arena and then distribute / sell as they see fit. We better be careful of what we want, just might get a fistful of empty seats on our side and $out the door for a few years!
  21. Great game, seems like they just had energy. Maybe WB just pounds the crap out od 'em in practice all the time except for games like this and conference tourney time?
  22. Kicking ass! Tighten up D and we may have it. Great to see Hooley hit!
