I'd think this game hangs, offensively at least, on hitting a couple of 3's early in each half to open up driving lanes to take advantage of their propensity to foul (READ THEY ARE A HACK ATTACK team - it will be ugly!). Of course then we have to hit FT shots. Not a given this year.

I am in agreement. To make the move for basketball reason alone is silly. As jeff stated, we already are in the conference for football. That alone is the big money maker. We compete in one of the top lacrosse conferences in the country and in the non-profit sports, we have just been as equal, heck better, than CAA programs. Even more important AE teams are competing nationally in those sports.Please don't talk about Football in the CAA or anywhere else making positove $ besides the top 1/2 of the big time conferences. Football should not be looked at as a $ generator. If it is required to make $ it will be canceled. The benefits of a quality program are many but $ is not one of them.

Reminded that last year UVM held us to 12pts in a half! I was glad.to see Dallas take more shots. I think he will be a lights out shooter soon and with his size at the point of a 1-3-1 zone there is reason to stay positive for him to be a strong role player. Singletary, Hooley, Sam will get it together although I still can't stand seeing Sam do the slow back in to the basket move. I guess they were giving it to him more the last 2 games so why not. Sanders foul trouble is a problem especially if Baker can'tbsub in and score yet. I have to think the bigs will improve just on intersquad competition for minutes as the season goes on. Still think this team has more potential than last year but also appreciating the graduated guys more and more.

The screen D depends on the off defender stepping out on the shooter and then recovering to his man. It's not drsigned fpr the gusrd to fight through / over the svreen. Our guys were not doing this at all until late in the HC game and did a better job this game.

Great timing for this game. Thinking the fellas can work out a lot of frustration and have some fun. Remember that it's finals time and there are family / friend pressures on this far flung group this time of year. I personally can't imagine keeping up good grades with the travel they do even with extra support. Silly comment about the "easyish" but looking forward to watching a better game than HC.

Regarding defending the 3 - it appeared that WB got on the off defender for laying back on the screen not the primary for going behind. It helped a bit later in the game.

At the very least Baker can make a FT.

Baker may be earning a starting position.

Agree with CC about the lax 3 point D and overall unimpressive D. I think we migjt have expected a tough O night due to their pressure and maybe jet lag but D should always be there.

I wish Baker would rise to the challenge of playing against his fellow Minnesota alum and kick ass.

I really have to think he is being told to work it inside BUT kick it out once doubled. That will work for AEAst but not these studs. Bigger prob Is D on 3pts.

Hopefully they are fat on Turkey, homesick frosh who are looking past us toward their game against Arizona State.
