Ok, so I'd like to start a movement to get the Damien the Dane logo to replace the UA logo for our sporting events. I think the Scoobies nickname of our nickname helped with the press and name recognition in the NCAA and gives the school a bit of a personality. After all, we are the only Great Dane out there. And i think that would look way cooler at the 50 than the tired, old UA logo. I think it'd be a great marketing move. Who's with me on this?

Btw, since we've been undergoing so much construction on the campus lately, I'd like to suggest something that hopefully won't ruffle feathers. Any chance we can update the logo and the look at the top of this? Maybe an Albany logo? Or something that doesnt look too Geocities?

Would be great if you guys could say who the offers are from. Sometimes its hard to google these guys and would be really fun to see. JMJ4E

Does anyone know if anyone from the athletics department or administration, or even the coaches read BPF, or know of its existence?

Does this include any tournaments or do those come later?

Me, I told her I wasn't quite in the position to give anything major, but maybe she's laying groundwork. I work in TV/Music so maybe she thought that meant megabucks.

Does the JMU stadium have it? I though I saw all chair backs. I'm other news. The major gifts officer from UA contacted me and will be out in LA and would like to meet up. Anyone have any questions they want official answers on?

Just looking on the site. It seems that the "ALBANY" is spelled out on bleachers with no seat backs. I thought the whole stadium was going to be chairs, not bleachers. Anyone know about this? Bleachers would seem kinda..crappy considering the newness, and something you don't see much in newer stadiums anymore (plus they suck to sit on in the cold). JMJ40!

Actually, now that i think about it, i'd rather have a giant head of Damian, the aggressive cartoony one.. I've actually been talking to a few of my friends who have been paying more attn to Albany because of Basketball and Lacrosse and they refer to us as the Scoobies..which I am totally ok with. It's different and sets us apart.

What if we play on Albany's bizarre skyline and have an outline of Empire State Plaza and the Egg on the court? Btw, are you the same Jammaster I remember from Mrs. Cohen's English class?

How much does Duke have in common with the rest of the ACC, other than location (with the possible exception of Wake Forest)? How much does Villanova have in common with UConn? You go with the hottest girl who will dance with you, and sometimes those hot girls tend to be a little more expensive, but the rest of the fellas usually will notice you more. That last part was a recruiting metaphor in case you were a little confused.

Seriously, is this a dead issue now? Or are we just basing it on what the Assoc AD said? And as far as you guys worrying about jumping, how else do you want the program to build? So what that other schools are 0-55 in trying to get to the big dance. We got there in our 7th year of D1, and almost knocked off a #1 seed. Considering where we were 12 years ago, I'd think that we'd want the progression to continue. With thinking and fear like that we'd still be playing club football

Everyone said he was a good kid who had motivation issues. I love that we're finally going back to the 5 boroughs to recruit, something I think we lacked in the past. Any HS info on the kid? stats? where else he was recruited out of HS?

Bear in mind, we almost had to get more JUCO players, rather than 4 year kids. We lost Logan and Suero so late in the season, plus Page, plus who knows whats up with Gibson, that any decent 4 year prospects were likely gone.

So what do we know about this guy, other than he's short and can shoot and comes from the land of delicious butter cookies?
