  1. What's the best route for UA to get to full scholly? Join CAA football at the minimum? Creation of America East full scholly football? Somehow forcing the NEC to allow UA to max out? Big South football? Go Independent?
  2. Alls I ask for is FULL SCHOLLY FOOTBALL... is that too much to ask? btw... I assume this was before the athletic year began, or at least before the lacrosse season began... 13 2 http://viewer.zmags.com/publication/d4b9bceb#/d4b9bceb/8
  3. If there was ever a time we've had strong enough a hand to court the CAA, it's now. Coach FORD, a new stadium going up, Nano, school of business, expansions all over..... Anyone have sbu stats of America East championships? I'd like to compare their athletic successes to ours.
  4. How about stoking up a new rumor, that UAlbany wants to join the CAA... MJeff, do you ever hear of talk that the CAA is interested in Albany, or that UAlbany leaders are even interested in joining the CAA?
  5. thanks 72. Any idea if we can make up that point difference?
  6. Anyone have a link to this years cup standings, if there are any?
  7. Anyone know anything about UAlbany's plan with specifics?
  8. Can you imagine, UA FBS football! If it were announced that we were moving to the CAA and getting full schollie fcs football, that's all I'd need to hear right now.
  9. What needs to happen @ UA & SBU for both to have the same flexibility and opportunity to move?
  10. There'll be alot of people filing past our new multi purpose stadium. Nice exposure to begin with....
  11. 19-8 final On to stony brook on Saturday Resetarits had 42 goals in the regular season, 46 now.
  12. Semi Final underway... UAlbany 16 - UMBC 6 with 9 minutes left in 4th
  13. I say they pack it in and say good night.
  14. Fine breakdown on the numbers 96, and thanks brutus for your input. DF, agreed, the spring game would be a fine way to begin... afterall, it is basically the early start to the season. After this initial first stage is complete sometime over the next year, anyone have a guess on how long it will take to begin a second phase?
  15. One game in the new stadium at the very end of this year's football season? I'll pass on that idea. I'll be happy to see the structure sitting there, at whatever stage, knowing its a reality, and have a HUGE grand opening for the 2013 season.
  16. They visited together or on seperate trips? Maybe we didn't really need the kids anyhow? Everybody's perception is different. Some are looking for specific things in a program and campus. Not worried here. I've got a feeling that we are going to go places with our current group of young lax players... and with Huber getting valuable experience his freshman year.... look out. Except for a few brainsquirts, our D has develped into something respectable. With another year or two playing together, we just may be a powerhouse. Heck, we might get into the NCAAs this year. Stony Brook isn't a pushover, and it was anyone's game. We might be scoring 15+ goals a game down the road. I'm very pleased with the progress on our offense and defense alike, and especially the net minding by Huber, agile and fast. With the Thompsons from last year looking mature now, and with Lyle coming on STRONG, and Stenberg looking darn good as a freshman at attack with the others...... I have optimism. This year might not be the year to beat the Hopkins or the Cuses.... but it just may be possible next year and the year after.
  17. That was a brainfart on my part Bob, I should have chose my words more carefully and accurately! As for the TU, I never turned the corner with them, thinking somehow they had improved with their coverage and treatment of the Big State school dominating the region's college sports.... like some seemed to have done. They still suck.
  18. Because $iena can rack up wins in that garbage conference, the TU tries to pump up their programj, bordering on ridiculous. Even at the lowest of times, we still beat em. It wouldn't have been that close, but our defense seemed to have a brainfart several times in the 4th quarter. Several times our D seemed to open up like the parting of the red sea, giving them an uncontestede, close look at the net. We have turned a corner. Let's hope we continue to improve and continue to gel all around.
  19. If I post your photos on my UAlbany blog, you could then link from there. If you want to send me the photos, send me an IM. http://uofalbany.blogspot.com/
  20. Pounder, well said. All the best to Aronhalt in his future. With Aronhalt healthy this season, we could have won the conference. A 100% Logan could have pushed us over the top.
