  1. So much for their position that their fanbase is so loyal and travels well. If the game aint at the TUC, then why bother?
  2. The Lady Danes easily beat Wagner 75-50 in a game that just concluded.
  3. I see that Clemson lost in its next game to Denver, 3-6. I can't imagine any team scoring that many goals against Clemson. Denver then lost to Wake Forest, 1-2.
  4. godanesgo99, Thanks for the links. They answered all my questions about the LCC game.
  5. I have a couple questions today about the Times Union coverage of UA and LCC. The first regards articles about the two games tonight. I see there is an article about LCC's away game at St. Bonaventure, but I see nothing about UA's home match against Holy Cross. I don't have a subscription to the TU, so I'm wondering if anyone here has news about tonight's game. Also, again because I don't subscribe to the TU, I'm wondering what Iorizzo said after Sunday's game about continuation of the UA-LCC series after 2017. Just curious.
  6. As I keep saying, in most years recently we're still playing in March, but they've already cleaned out their lockers.
  7. And we have achieved parity or better with LCC despite playing only 6% of the modern series on our own court.
  8. Someone named "Rock" just posted on the Times Union site about the game complained that the game should ALWAYS be played at the TUC. His point is that 4000-5000 fans will be shut out. I think his complaint is shallow. We here know that tickets were available for the SEFCU game up to two days before the game (maybe even closer), He and his fellow fans had more than ample opportunity to attend the game, but only -- according to estimates on this site and the Siena fans site -- only about 1000 of their fans bothered to attend. That means that 5000-6000 of their normal fans couldn't bring themselves to get to SEFCU. The argument should be that our fans should have equal opportunity to attend the game. Rock's argument runs very shallow.
  9. The last game I attended the LCC game held at the Times Union, I made the mistake of parking in the garage attached to the center. It took me over 45 minutes to leave that building. With all the money that the game brings in, the organizers could/should have paid someone to direct traffic out of the garage. There was very little traffic on the roads out of the building, but we had to wait for the light to flash green before leaving. There's no such problem leaving any UA lots. You have to pay to have that privilege. Just another example of whiners versus winners.
  10. I was disappointed that I didn't see any article in the Times Union online about this game. Was there any in the print edition? I also didn't see any news in the Greenville (SC) newspaper. I mean, we're talking about the Elite Eight here.
  11. I can understand the bitterness. When your program is basically a one-trick pony and you lose the one most important game with the future prospects not so bright, then how else can you feel?
  12. Yep, I was thinking the same thing last night about the combined women and men results for the last seven years. I guess the opposing view comes from a distorted sense of entitlement.
  13. Can you just imagine what the series record would be for the modern time (since 2001) if the play site had alternated between the TUC and SEFCU? Don't tell me that the home court doesn't have any advantage?
  14. Agreed... True home and home or walk. I love reading their board, we "aren't that talentes" and not "really good"... Lol... What does it say about their guards that out sophomore back court hung 50 on them. Lol So I just read through about 8 pages on their game thread on the Siena board. I wish there were 30 more pages it was so fun to read. It is amazing that this game is so important to them that they want to fire the coach because they lost it. Would I be upset if we lost tonight? Sure but I'm upset for any loss. I sure as hell wouldn't be devastated like most of them are. Also, they really are delusional if they think Siena is a much better program, especially with that coach. So comical to read! I will say it again. I would be absolutely embarrassed if UA had a coach that acted like Patsos on the sideline. I would find it hard to support a program that would allow that type of idiotic behavior especially when he doesn't win. They have a very similar view of our coach... Beauty is in the eyes of a beholder. Is my math correct in that this is 4 put of 6 for us lately in this series? The Times Union says it's 5 of 7. It may be a question of the beholder, but I'll go with Coach Brown any day. One thing that escapes his detractors is the fact that CB has grown a lot in the time he's been at Albany. Those who want to demonize him are looking at images from 5 to 10 years ago. It's just more fun for them that way.
  15. My sound on ESPN3 feed was great. 75-25 would be my guess. This was scheduled on a terrible day. If the students were not coming back off break, it would have been more electric. Thanks, Dane I was watching the game on the AE site. Stupid me! If there is another SEFCU meeting, UA should dictate the terms, such as the date.
  16. I'd have it somewhere between 1/4 and 1/3 Thanks, click - Yeah, I noticed a lot of them were complaining about the ticket prices. Talk about a sense of entitlement. Their fans get the game included in their season ticket packet fifteen years in a row, and now they complain about the prices this single year?! I noticed that no one over there complained about the view from their seat.
  17. What was the proportion of LCC to UA fans at SEFCU tonight? I couldn't get sound on my video output, so I have no idea what the breakdown was.
  18. To be in a tie with the third-ranked team in the country eighty minutes into the game shows the progress this team has made. Congrats!
  19. According to ESPN statistics, UA had only 6 turnovers. Brown certainly has to be pleased going forward.
