  1. This might be tough with a few of the guys I'm bringing. In relative terms of course. I've got a tailgate of 150 football alumni planned for Sept. 14th. I think you'll fly under the radar with us there.
  2. You can buy parking at the ticket website. I suspect this year, most tailgaters will be in Dutch quad parking lot. SEFCU parking is much more expensive this year and won't hold as many cars. There haven't been any real restrictions in the past except glass bottles are frowned upon. I've always found that if you keep it under control no one will bother you.
  3. As I said, the running game was sooooo predictable. I heard an interview in the preseason that said they would run more spread offense/wildcat type of stuff because they lost their power back. That doesn't mean you can't mix in some other formations and plays other than the shotgun/wildcat on EVERY play. I just don't get it. There are only so many things that you can do out of a single formation which why teams so many different formations to throw the defense off. Even having the same play but out of three different formations. I hope they make a change to mix it up a little I said it in the 3rd quarter. Borrrring offense. Lots of time to fix it. Lets see if McCarthy, in an audition year, makes it work with these young guys.
  4. I don't really know our depth... Is there any significant talent redshirting? There is only one Freshman on two-deep (Michael Senn) who started today at left guard. I assume that all or almost all other freshman, the fist full scholly class, is red shirting.
  5. We have more talent from top to bottom than we did last year. We aren't a better team yet though. Some strong young takent that needs time to grow.
  6. Huge holes in th zone and yet it doesn't looks like WRs are running good routes.
  7. Who knows, though. The young guys might gel and clip a few CAA teams.
  8. Worst place on the field to have a spread offense. No power game.
  9. In other CAA news, William & Mary is up n West Virginia and Villanova is up on Boston College.
  10. Product of lots of Fr and R-Fr playing. That will get better throughout the season.
  11. Gonna be a long season, like like Coach Ford said. On a bright note, tons of Fr and R-Fr on the field.
  12. Absolutely, if you want to schedule yourself out of the playoffs. The extra D-I win OOC is important. That's what most CAA teams schedule 1 FBS, 1 top tier FCS and 2 Lowe tier FCS (PL, NEC) teams out of conference. 3 games they should Winn.
  13. I think it's the effect of switching to a spread over the last 5 years. Big backs won't come to a spread. And there are very few good big backs that are of the quality that we need. That's why we switched to the spread in the first place. Drew Smith is a rarity.
  14. An SEC or ACC team is our best bet for 2015. Start playing MAC in 2017 when we'll have a full roster of scholarships and recruiting classes. Then they become winnable.
  15. Looks like Drew Smith and Jon Morgan both made it through the first cuts down to 75 man rosters.
  16. What a difference a year makes........last year our league was looking at hopefully win a few games against the CAA in week 1. Now we're look at our league potentially knocking off multiple big boys. Thursday, August 29 Rhode Island @ Fordham - 7 PM #11 Towson @ UConn - 7:30 PM - ESPN3 Jacksonville @ Delaware - 7:30 PM - Hens All-Access Saturday, August 31 William & Mary @ West Virginia - 12 PM - Fox Sports 1 #5 Villanova @ Boston College - 12 PM - ESPNews Albany @ Duquesne - 12:10 PM Central Connecticut State @ #19 James Madison - 6 PM - Madizone VMI @ #15 Richmond - 6 PM - Spider TV Maine @ Norfolk State - 6 PM - NSU Showcase A bunch of National TV/Streaming games as well. Towson, William & Mary and Villanova all have very legitimate shots at W's. Delaware, James Madison and Richmond should walk over their opponents.
