Year End Honors

Since the male and female athletes of the year have not been chosen yet, I thought it could be interesting to poll our choices. This is my idea: each of us list our top 5 choices for Male athlete of the year, Female athlete of the year and Coach of the Year. On Monday, May 23 at noon, I will tabulate the results using a 5-4-3-2-1 scoring method (ie 5 points for a first place vote, etc). You can edit your choices until noon on the 23rd. This is totally subjective and I offer absolutely no guidelines. Your prejudices as to what are important factors are your own and you are encourged to use them.

I hope a lot of people will participate; the more that participate, the more reflective the results will be. I'll go first and will reserve the right to edit and change my mind.

It shows the success of the past year that I could not find a way to get Will Brown as one of my COY selections. I voted for Marr mostly because of the ranking and the fact that it's tough to repeat 3X, especially in a tougher conference (since UMBC.)

Daquino was a no-brainer. Should have been player of the year in conference.

I wanted to vote for Hutch for POY but Buchanan really made the v-ball team go this year.
