Billy Allen to redshirt

Recommended Posts

This will sound stupid but we really have had some good player Medical Redshirt:

Jamar Wilson

Jon Iati

Not stupid at all. Think of our new 2008 class:

Billy Allen- 6'6 G/F

Anthony Raffa- 6'1 PG

Jake Lindfors- 6'10 PF

Logan Aronholt- 6'5 G/F

Granted, no one wanted Billy to go through this, but that group alone (on paper) could be competitive in this league. All you need is a 5....and you have a complete starting unit with Logan at the three.

Good luck to Billy (and his family....back surgery is no easy thing)....and we look forward to him being a member of our family for the next five years plus!!!

Billy...we expect you to be a huge cheerleader this year....YOU ARE STILL A PART OF THE BIG PURPLE KINGDOM!

The docs will be in for quite the surprise when you "BLEED PURPLE."

I know this is resurrecting an old thread....but what impact do you guys thing Billy Allen will have next year. He should be healthy enough (hopefully) to be able to play next season. Hope his recovery is going well!

During his recruiting he was listing Michigan, Stanford, Ohio State, Purdue, Wake, Virginia and NC State as school showing interest/recruiting him, those are some big time schools showing interest. He could be a dark horse going into the season, as almost none of us are talking about him. He's struggled through allot of injuries over the last couple of years, ankle in HS, back problems last year. He could be a player and someone to watch.
