Logan Aronhalt

Recommended Posts

I had to start a topic on this. Logan is now the second leading scorer in the AE at 19.5ppg, he's shooting 42% from the field and 39% from beyond the arc. This kid is a serious threat to make the AE 1st team as a sophomore. When he get's hot like he was in the Niagara game you can't stop that shot.

Nice to know we have 2+ more years of watching him come into his own.

Aronhalt and Black. As they go---so goes UAlbany.

he's our numbers and hardware guy now for sure, but mvp of the team though is mike black. we've seen life without him and it wasn't pretty. our backcourt triumvirate is very solid and they have complimentary games (shooter, ball-handler/scorer, mack truck) if they keep improving, have a good shot at being the best backcourt in the america east.

Mike Black may well prove to be the team MVP, but in my mind Tim Ambrose may be the most important player we have. So far he is leading the team in FG% and I believe ASS/TO ratio both with pretty solid numbers. If you would have told me that before the season started...

If Tim plays the way he has been Albany will stay competitive, if he starts throwing up shots and turning the ball over life gets tougher. Good Tim is Good.

I am so happy to see Logan playing like this!! I'm cautious though to start anointing anyone anything whether it be team MVP or All-Conference. Just as we shouldn't have been too down after the way the season started, we shouldn't get too high after a solid weekend. I just want to watch this season play out. The recent play has me excited about Logan, Mike, the way Ambrose is playing and the younger guys down low and I can't wait to be able to watch a game live soon.

One of the things I've like about Aronhalt is that after his big games he's usually had a quote like this: "my teammates placed me in good shooting situations." It's a minor thing but smart and one of the reasons he's a captain.

All of the big/little three are what's hopefully going to make this a good team. I've liked the way Tim and Aronhalt have played together. Aronhalt is getting a lot of good looks from Tim's drives to the hoop. They've both benefited from Mike Black. I said it before but this is really the first time in his career that Tim has played with a good point guard and it seems to be paying off.
