Purple and Gold Scrimmage

I also inadvertently left out Rawley. Maybe it was because (in my opinion) he is a man without a position. Can't shoot, poor (maybe moderate) ball handler, too short, rebounds well but too short, defends well but too short; but I love what the kid brings. I just do not know where to play him. He does get his points and rebounds and can bang pretty well but too short. In my day (1/2 century ago) we called a player like Rawley a "garbage man" and we meant that in an extremely complimentary way.

Kinda funny Yank, you could probably describe Brian Voelkel and Tommy Brenton the exact same way and you'd be right. Both played small forward last year and I think Rowley can do the same. I see Rowley and Guerrier splitting time at small forward and a combination of Gary Johnson, Mike Black and Hooley at SG.

As much as I liked the new guys I'd give the starting edge to the returning players until everyone gets up to speed. I'd like to see what Hooley can do starting at guard. He plays like a maniac, competes hard and his passing makes guys around him better.
