Should Henry and Forster numbers be retired?

To me Henry should have the honor. Henry is similar to Jamar in that she is the Danes all time leading scorer and lead the team to their first ever conference championship/NCAA birth. What are your thoughts?

I think the seal has been broken since we've already done it once.

 

As for Henry, some of us were discussing this at last night's game also. This should all become clearer in March but if this season finishes the way we hope it will I think they have to do honor her in some permanent way.

Just because it was done once doesn't mean it automatically needs to be done again.

 

1000 & 1000 is a unique accomplishment.

 

I don't think you can compare 1500 points to 2000+

 

If you think one deserves it then I think you have to consider both and to me doing both is going a little over board.

 

Gary Holoway's number should go up before anyone else's in my opinion.

This year, she has 172 rebounds so far this season @ 8.2 per game.

 

Anyone know her career rebounding total including this year?

Yearly totals 259 (freshman record) + 292 (team season record) + 339 (team season record) + 172 with at least 8 games to go = 1062, projects from 1127 up to 1153 thru the NCAA first round.

My first reaction, it's going overboard retiring anyone's number in college sports.

I do believe both young ladies deserve hall of fame status. Henry (if not both) in her first year of eligibility. (if there's a waiting period)

 

Forster with around 10rpg has had a monster carreer, plus over 1000 points.

I think Henry's an interesting case. If she wins POY and the team heads to the NCAAs again, I'd definitely be in favor of it.
